Looking to add one of to the stable for fish-camp use.
Saw it used by some British survival/campers to pressure cook a chicken in twenty minutes on a fire.

How do you keep it from blowing up in your face?

Is cooking chicken some sort of euphemism now?

We're going to need to know what sort of animal parts you're going to put in it before answering.

Based on previous threads, I highly doubt it will be a chicken.

I would not get cookware made in a 3rd world country.
Also would not get aluminum cookware.
This is a double whammy.

Usually aluminum, but traditional was what looked liked cast or hammered iron.

In my experience, I've only seen them stuffed with HME and have wires sticking out of them.

Easily carried in a blue or black plastic bag and were left at polling centers, girls schools, barracks, etc.

I was told they cooked in them but can't confirm.

Just looking at it, I can envision it failing spectacularly.

Or presto no need to get a questionable pressure cooker. They are dangerous enough without coming from a 3rd world country.

Will do.

We have a pressure cooker for jarring salmon.

Just looked at them.
Not really made for campfire cooking like the Afghan one.

The Presto 4 quart or 6 quart stainless steel if you are using something with a controlled Flame.

Or if you're cooking with an open campfire cancooker are great products. You can get them all the way up to 5 gallons.

So the local government is giving Afghans new pressure cookers.  Interesting.....my family used brass (lead) kettles and fought to give us independnce. How hyper focused we've become on anything that isn't foundationally American.

No shit. They are third worlders. They are going to simply melt as much dirty scrap shit as they can together. Most of those people probably don’t know what lead is, or the concept of a metal being toxic.

If you already have pressure cooker that is up to the task I would just buy one of the ozark trail butane stoves and 12 cans of fuel from walmart. Less $$$ and more useful.
