Oh truth definitely matters to them.
In the same way kryptonite mattered to Superman.

IIRC the government classifies info hazards as either:

Misinformation: wrong info without malicious intent
Disinformation: wrong info with malicious intent
Malinformation: true info with malicious intent

they're more than willing to censor the last item on the list if they deem true information as having an effect they don't want

Of course some subreddits have a slant. But many subreddits are also conservative.

So stupid to label Reddit's entire site as "leftists" when there is almost 3 MILLION subreddits and 75 million active daily users.

Yes, if you cherry pick subreddits, you can find a lot of leftists.

But there is also plenty of conservative subreddits too. Here is just a few...

https://old.reddit.com/r/conservatives

https://old.reddit.com/r/Republican/

https://old.reddit.com/r/Firearms/

https://old.reddit.com/r/walkaway/

https://old.reddit.com/r/progun/

https://old.reddit.com/r/TheLeftCantMeme/

https://old.reddit.com/r/prolife/

https://old.reddit.com/r/gunpolitics/

https://old.reddit.com/r/AskTrumpSupporters/

https://old.reddit.com/r/GoldandBlack/

https://old.reddit.com/r/CoronavirusCirclejerk/

Just stick with the conservative sites if you want to discuss politics.

Then all of the other subreddits are all about broad interests. Like automotive/cars, woodworking, welding, camping, hiking, music, etc..

All of those topics have hundreds of subreddits each to discuss very specific interests. Like "Minimalist camping" or Welding titanium" or some genre of music that maybe 50 people listen to.

I spend a lot of time on dozen or so camping and hiking subreddits and politics never gets discussed. They just focus on the activity or hobby itself.

Reddit is a great place if you ignore all of the political discussions that are frequented by liberals. All of those subreddits I listed above will kick out trolls or liberals.

If you truly believe that then: lol. LMAO even.

The site is infested with leftism. Go to the front page of all, a good chunk of the posts will be outwardly political regardless of topic. And if not the post itself, certainly the comments. There are a handful of smaller or niche subreddits that aren't, but inevitably they get taken over, banned, etc.

Don't go on the front page.

Find the subreddits you have interests in, subscribe, so when you open reddit, you only see topics from those selected subs on your dashboard.

They have a subreddit for every single hobby or interest. Find a dozen you like, subscribe, and you can spend hours and hours on reddit without seeing a single liberal post.

If you want to discuss politics, subscribe to one of the subreddits I mentioned above.

Been on Reddit since the great Digg migration

The majority of subs are full of politicized users who are rabidly hard to the left.

I've had users on non political subs read my history and bring it into the discussion as if it's relevant.

You almost need to have a second alt or throwaway account if you want to post on non political subs these days.

Let's not even get into the long list of default subs that will auto ban you for posting in other subs they don't like. I'm banned from a good chunk of the default subs simply for having Posted on "vaccine misinformation" subs like NoNewNormal. Banned from some others for having been an active T_D poster before that sub was banned - and it was the best, most entertaining sub on Reddit in 2016.

No, Reddit is predominantly leftist, just like people who cry for public transportation.

Interesting Twitter thread.

Now, you want to know something really scary?

A good chunk of these open source large language model AI's are modeled and built off the Reddit data stream.

Let that sink in for a while.

As much as I think the formatting socks Subreddits a frequently the only place to find current information about niche subjects like working at a certain company or agency or in a small industry.
