US parades 12 nuclear stealth bombers & vows jets are ‘ready to strike anywhere, any time’ amid Middle East tensions
THE US gathered almost its entire fleet of nuclear stealth bombers in a massive show of force as the Middle East teeters on a knife edge. The B-2 Spirits - saved only for the "most important missions" - are "ready to execute a global strike anytime, anywhere," the US Air Force warned. The B-2 Spirit is a multi-role, heavy bomber capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear warheads. The 1000kmh beasts are designed to be virtually invisible to radar and are the world's most expensive aircraft, estimated to cost £1.6billion each. The two-pilot jet has an unrefueled range of 6,000miles and is specifically built for intercontinental missions. There are 27 Gen 6 stealth bombers also in that photo...but they are super stealth, you can't see them

Those who've been involved with bomber generation will tell you this is a miraculous feat.
12 B-2s green and taking off at once is a tremendous undertaking considering the size of the fleet.  to Team Whiteman!!

"Stealth" is a lie, which Congress and the Air Force won't acknowledge or address. It works great against emerging economies, but is wasted against our real adversaries.
Russian OTHR can see any and everything that moves inside a 2500-mile circle. We would be better serves with 10,000 F-16's and 3,000 A10's at around the same cost. Paying for stealth that doesn't work against the current tech in play by our near peer adversaries is a waste of our resources. |
