I've been snarkier than usual and posting like a jerk in some instances.
It's been a tough 4 months - My sister passed at the end of December, and I'm burying my Dad next week. I'm a little pissed off at the world in general. I'm sorry if I've been more of an ass than usual to anybody. |

I am so sorry for your loss, I know it can be emotionally devastating. I chose to not healthily deal with a family loss and it took me over a year to finally go to grief counseling and to where I felt like "me" again.
So don't be like me, go talk to someone. Also, this is GD... so obligatory |

Roid surgery Shingles scarred cornea Dad died Dog died Truck died It was rough but life ain't ever guaranteed fair or easy. Good luck op. No sweat venting to friends here. |

My wife and I had to spend 4 years living in the city up until recently, which was bad enough in itself what with crime, shit getting stolen off our porch, aggressive homeless and general misery. And in that time my wife's sister passed, a year later her best friend died unexpectedly, my mother died, and to top it off my best lil buddy of a cat died in my arms after 15 years. And lawd knows, i've been a fuckin dick the whole time. My apologies as well to the folks here. I hope life gets better for you, it did for us, so much weight has been lifted from my shoulders, and I actually feel like being kind to folks and want to make friends once again. I pray this happens for you to whoever might be listening up there. |

Sorry to hear that man. As someone who has lost a lot of family, I encourage you to talk with someone about it. Speaking words about it out loud has a real effect of moving you through the grieving process. That, and time. It doesn’t make anything go away, but it changes it.
Also, if you saw them change through their illness, I can say that over time your memory of them will become the image of them you knew throughout their life, and not the image of them ill at the end of their life. Hang in there. |

I have no idea what you may have posted, but my condolences. Lost my mom a couple years ago, no idea how I'd handle it if my dad or one of sisters died too. I usually avoid people when I'm in a bad mood. I wear that shit on my face and I don't want people to think Im upset with them when I'm not.
But yeah OP, you can lean on us. Seems like pretty much everyone here has been through some shit. We understand.
