Dead, stays dead. Edit Sorry, thought you wanted total veg killer. I use Trimec weed and broadleaf killer. Works great |

In the past I have used a product called Vapam. It is so good that probably the EPA has banned it by now.

I use Tenacity, but it’s a little gentle on the weeds.

Not enough information. The answer to your question depends a lot on the type of grass you have and what weeds you’re trying to kill. Also are there any exposed tree roots or anything where you plan on spraying?
ETA: be careful using a lot of these more hardcore weed killers on sod that isn’t established yet. |

2-4-d.
If its a woody weed 2-4d works ok but you should use something like Remedy. |
|
|
[#15]
2,4-d is good stuff but you have to be careful of the vapors killing stuff 30 feet away that you didn't want killed.

First question is what kind of grass?
What kind of weeds are you trying to kill. Some weeds are hard to kill and if you’re not putting down a pre emergence you are wasting your time and money. Atrazine will kill Bermuda grass. Centipede can’t handle 2-4-D but you can use Atrazine. Any product with 2-4-D will burn your grass if the temperature goes over 85 degrees. There are multiple products for different weeds. There is not one that works best. Get ready to spend some dollars on weed killers that work and want kill your grass. These are measured in grams for one gallon of water per 1000 sq feet. I would estimate I have $800.00 plus in powder chemicals that weigh less than 2 pounds. Granted some will last a while if stored properly. I do split with a couple of people to help on cost. I only know about warn season grasses mostly Bermuda and don’t know a lot. Just enough not to smoke my grass. If you have cool weather grass no idea. Even with all that I got a fungus late year and my grass has not recovered. Now it’s lots of fertilizer and mowing trying to get it to fill back in. You would be better off going over to the Lawn Forum and read the info there for advice. |

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Until you identify your principal grass and identify your weeds for us, people are only able to guess what you need. Your grass could be my weed, and vice versa. At the very least, you need to tell people whether you have grassy weeds or broadleaf weeds.

Lot is dependent on time of year, heat, etc. Glyphosate will kill anything it touches for the most part. There are some weeds that have become herbicide resistant, so you need to alternate.

Nice donk.

As others have said, Trimec, I have also had good results with Crossbow.
Add a surfactant to the mix to improve the results and understand that this type of herbicide doesn't do a burn down like Glyphosate. 24-48 hours after application you will see the leaves and stems curl up. The entire plant will die in 7 to 14 days depending on condition and application rate. |

Depending on which clover you have, 2,4-d might control it or might just burn the leaves off of it and make you think you killed it. GD greenieweenies will shit, but 2,4-d + dicamba is what you seek for most clover. Or triclopyr if you prefer. |

You need to find out what kind of grass you have and what kind of weeds you're looking to kill. Go to domyown.com and search what you're trying to kill. You might pixie wrong herbicide and kill off your turf grass.

Adding a surfactant package like li700 or at min a crop oil to 24d/dicamba provides a better kill in tougher weeds/conditions |
