Not explicitly, but my Dad did teach me it was derogatory to call someone a democrat.

I was primarily raised in the SF Bay Area, so I was taught that "communism is a well-intentioned idea, at least in principle." I learned for myself in college what a crock of shit that was.

No. I have, however, come to appreciate the profound wisdom of that expression over the years.

No.

I just read history and came to that logical conclusion by myself.

In short, history supports that death is the best way to eradicate such a vile virus.

they were basically the same thing in many ways, with a few differences.  unfortunately commies are still around , and making a comeback while they say everyone not with them is a nazi.

Before I began school I would ride in the pickup with my grandfather to drop my aunts off at school and before they left the truck he would tell them to never let them make you stand in line. I asked him why once and he said that the first thing that they taught communist was to stand in line. I asked him what a communist was and he said that they were fucking bastards. I don't think I have ever heard my grandfather swear before or since. The first day of Kindergarten I refused to stand in line and got my butt paddled. I was certain my grandfather would stand up for me-after all I clearly wasn't a communist. Nope-he didn't whoop me but he did tell me that I had to mind my teacher.

Nope, although my Dad served and fought in Vietnam.

It was literally never brought up in our house, but as soon as I was old enough to know of such things it was extremely obvious how destructive and evil communism is.

Of course, I happen to have a decent set of morals and more than three brain cells bouncing around in my skull, so....

No.

I even know actual members of the Bulgarian Communist Party. Politics never came up and they were fun to be around.

Wasn't taught that in the home or school. Figured it out on my own by observation and reading history.

My family were blue dog Democrats.  Wasn't taught to believe anything except to hate republicans.  I figured out on my own what communism was and what those people were.  So no, no need to teach anyone the truth that is obvious.

No. First saw that term on the internet years ago.  It did make me giggle though. My elders were happy going people whose lives didn't dwell on economic or politics beliefs. Whatever they may of believed in though they quietly kept to themselves and didnt try to push it upon their children or others.

Thank you for your service.  The communists won at home, prior to Vietnam, IMO.

ETA: actually my dad took Russian in college and I have letters signed by Scoop Jackson and J. Edgar Hoover where he wanted it officially made known he wasn't taking the language because of any interest in Communism.  He was a person who wanted to understand the world foremost.

he trained me in the ways of war so I could do the same.

My parents and grandparents were none to kind to progressives, socialists, fascists, and commies. They taught me well, and I'm already laying the groundwork of a healthy distrust of statists for my young kids.

Born in '70. I was never personally told that. But society certainly accepted that. That all changed around 2012. It became mainstream to be a lefty......ala commie. Its a whole thing.

Every time Charlie squats in the bush I think about doing his ass while he shits.

Fuck his little world up for good.

Relentlessly popping his ass with flares and HE and everything useful at my disposal.

Waiting for a mission..
