Price isn’t an issue. I am just looking for a very high quality brand. Brown leather bound. King James, not that it matters as I suspect the printer will make different versions.

I keep running across “thin line” but I am really not sure that is the brand.

I couldn’t tell you what publisher printed my Bible. Possibly the Lockman Foundation.

But if I wanted a KJV I’d likely get one from Holman:

Google “Cambridge Bibles” and take your pick. Normally we wait until page 2 but the the world is going to crap so quickly that time is of the essence for some good Bible-thumpin’.

A KJV Bible is a KJV Bible. It’s not how it looks that matters.

I am by far not an expert, but "thin line", I think is along the lines of "compact"

Being newer in my walk with Him, I have found that having a study bible, along with a non-study (portable) helps with really getting into the word.  Had typed a lot more, but deleted because I'm already going past answering your question.  Have bought from Lifeway and Mardel, which I'm sure you have already found as options.

I will likely go with one of these. I guess I realized there were a lot of versions...but there are a lot of versions. Single column, notes, etc.

Check out Bible Gateway
You can sample pretty much any bible in print see which versions speak to you.

I also recommend Ray Stedman Ministries always helpful to get sound doctrine
and commentary in your inbox every morning...

Thanks for reminding me...need to read today's right now...

The old Masonic ones with all of the art and maps and stuff are very cool . Like something out of an Indiana Jones movie. The ones with large print and Jesus speaking highlighted in red are nice . Good luck . Edit - Hertel masonic cyclopedic indexed. The ones from a few decades ago are what I was referring to .

I recently bought a New King James translation, Schofield Study System bible.  This one is slightly larger than the Bible I have been using.  I'm ok with the size, the font is a little larger, and the are thumb notches to help find the books in the Bible.  It has some really good cross references in the pages.

I picked it up a Mardel's Christian Bookstore, it was around $60.00.

I'd say that obtaining a Geneva Bible from 1560 would be your best bet. It is not the easiest to read, but after a while, you get used to it. People always recommend KJV, but king Jimmy changed many scriptures and even omitted others.

I went on a search within the last year. That's when I found out about high-end Bibles. Some YT videos gave the appearance that they worshipped the object a little too much. The Word being most important.

But I did get a high-end Bible. Two actually. I couldn't make up my mind, so I went with the "get both" mentality. I liked them both for different reasons.

Cambridge Turquoise and Schuyler Canterbury.

Now that I've had them for about 3 months, I'm settled on the Schuyler as the better of the two. YT  videos introduced me to a feature called a yap. I didn't think I would like or care about it, but the Schuyler has a partial yap and it just feels good in the hand.
Another feature it has is a "King's English glossary of terms" that's pretty cool when you want to know what some of the KJV words mean.
The type is clean and easy to read.

The Cambridge Turquoise has some typesetting issues a high-end Bible shouldn't have. Some words are run together.... no space in between. It's not really a bother to me, just a quality issue that slipped through.
And it has the "Words of Christ in red while He walked on earth". Which means that His words in Revelation are not in red.
The typeface is an older style that I like.
   The pronunciation marks are fuller

They both came from EvangelicalBibles.com. I wanted to go somewhere and and physically do my search, but couldn't find a place to do that. This place had returns, but I had my name put on both so that nixed that.

Hope I've helped

If you ask even halfway nicely, you won’t need to steal it.  They will give it to you.

On a different note I will no longer buy a Bible printed in China because of how they repress Christianity. Yes I know the Word is the same but I will not support their industry and there are plenty of other printing locations.

Archeological study bible if you actually want any context for what the passages mean. If you just want to blindly follow get a JKV

I'm thinking of getting the Ethiopian Bible. Doesn't exclude any of the Book's like King James

Every bible that I own is a Zondervan. I have three translations, Catholic, New King James and New American Standard.  It is nice to have more than one translation available.

If you want to have a little fun, pick one up in Hawaiian Pidgin translation too.
