I love my cigars and I love my bourbon. But once in awhile, I love a good spicy Bloody Mary with breakfast/lunch/dinner. I like to throw the kitchen sink at them and prefer to not use a Bloody Mary mix. What is your favorite Bloody Mary recipe? How spicy do you like them? Do you include any unique items in yours? The below picture is not one of my Bloody Marys, but is very representative of mine. Let's see yours!

I don't have a favorite recipe, but reading your thread has gotten me thinking that I really ought to mix one up this evening.

Thanks - it has been a long time since I last had one.

vodka
lime juice
tabasco
W sauce
salt and black pepper
cajun seasoning around the rim of glass if I remember

eta: also I've tried adding juice from a jar of jalapenos with good results. A half teaspoon of horseradish also works great if you have it on hand.

I start with Zing Zang, really like the flavor and it's easy. After that add a couple things:
3-4 dashes tobasco
5 dashes worchestshire
Lil bit of the jarred, finely ground horseradish
2-3 teaspoons of dill pickle juice

Simple and tastes goooood. I toss in a couple either baby dills or cornichon pickles, plus a few anchovy stuffed olives.

A good cheater when traveling is to buy the pre-mix Zing Zang.  We found that one can will stretch to make two drinks if you add an extra shot of  vodka to each one.  That makes them pretty cost effective.  I need to get some for my travel bag for my next trip.

A bloody mary is also very tasty when made with gin.

I have tried mad stacks of mixers and Finest Call is top of the heap.  They have at least 5 flavors and I like them all.

(updated image since imgur is a piece of shit now)

I will see if I can find some Finest Call and give it a try. Every now and again it is nice to be able to make a quick drink.

The Ketel One recipe is good.
I like it hot.
Add bacon for a swizzle.

All bloody Marys are great…as long as the have giant queen olives, celery stalks and bacon as garnishes.

You need:
   Good vodka
   Crushed ice
   V8 Spicy
   Black and white pepper
   Scallions
   Tabasco
   Pink sea salt
   Clamato
   Celery

Pour the vodka over the ice and throw the rest of that stuff away.

Enjoy!

For me, Fresh Ground Horseradish, is key to any Bloody Mary recipe.
