Thanks! I have cut my consumption way back due to a couple surgeries but the pain meds are about done. It would be nice to get one of these.

Pick 5 from this list. DJ is readily available here and we don't have a state controlled distribution system. I can source it for you.

It depends on if you are actually going to drink them. Everyone’s palate is different, but the only decent Pappy (to me) is the 15.
Otherwise BTAC all day long and the Blanton’s STFB - though being a single barrel it’s a crap shoot The last group at 125-proof (or so) is pretty good.
If you’re going to trade/sell them grab all the Van Winkles you can.

That being said I have an extra GTS that I would trade for an Eagle Rare 17…..

it really depends on what your intentions are. if you want to make money and flip them or actually keep them and drink them.
IMO, just because they are more rare and more expensive doesn't mean they taste better (of course that is subjective).

These will be for my consumption. I would be perfectly happy with either Blantons or the Eagle rare. We will see what the draw brings. Last year I got nothing.

Ok, my wife and I are in and I have two friends who put in. Still long odds but you can’t win if you don’t play.

I put in but didn’t see anything posting the draw date. No news yet here.

Just looked it up. March 31 is the drawing.

Not sure why you think that’s funny…?
George T. Stagg is typically the King of the BTAC lineup, older and has WAY more positive reviews this year than the Eagle Rare 17.
I just was lucky enough to get (2) this year.

Had dinner at a better restaurant locally last night. A shot of Blantons straight from the barrel was $29. I passed but hoping to try one soon.

Of course it's a mixed bag due to the single barrel bottling.

Had a pour of a Blanton’s Gold store pick and both the wife and I were unimpressed.
Tasted like a Hot Tamale candy.
Ended up dumping 1/2 of it out.
And I like Blanton’s.

Interesting. I’ve drank a bunch of Blantons but always the off the shelf stuff. I do want to try some variants. I should have been keeping the tops…

Results:

This year’s first quarter event ran from March 11th to 17th and attracted entries from 32,822 Oregonians; Chance-to-Purchase events are open to eligible Oregon residents only. This event offered 354 bottles, which is the largest number of bottles ever made available during the Chance-to-Purchase program.
There were 156,457 entries across all products offered and entrants were able to choose up to five different items. If a winner was selected in the separate drawings for each product type, the winner’s remaining entries were disqualified from subsequent drawings in this event.

No. The drawing will be quarterly this year so I will be putting in for each. I don’t need any of these but wouldn’t complain if I won one.
