Two months in FL. Heading home tomorrow.
27 rounds, about half on exec courses. Turf here on public courses is horrible. Sandy, loose, loamy soil. Chunking everything. Kinda looking forward to a month off back in PA. Home course doesn’t open til 4/27. Hit ‘em straight. And if ya can’t hit ‘em straight- hit ‘em hard. |
Whoever double-crosses me and leaves me alive, he understands nothing about Tuco. Nothing!
|
The dog and I were this morning, before golf.
I'll be out again tomorrow, but only to move tee markers, empty trash and open bathrooms. |

View Quote That's exactly what I'm trying not to do. I've had a huge problem with overswinging since I got my new irons. I took the 7i from my old set along today (G20's) to hit side by side with the T300's. My old irons felt heavier. When I got home and weighed them there was a 15gm difference between the two. At the range once I slowed down and worked on my tempo I was hitting the T300's a lot better. Between last weeks lesson, drills all week and a few hours at the practice facility everything is quickly getting back to good. I'm hitting the new ones about 10-15 yards further, but that's pretty much just the jacked lofts. I'm feeling pretty good right now. |

Being retired I try to make it to the course every 48 hours if possible. Don't play much, mostly just practice now days.

My Dad: with respect to your chosen profession son, do what you want to do, who you want to do it for and where you want to do it.

I need to regrip my irons.
I am going to attempt the air method you gentleman recommended... Hopefully go out mid week. |

I build up with blue painters tape and spray with hair spray right before putting the grip on. None have ever slipped and they still blow right off. I did a +4 build up on my wedges and really like it. I’m going to do the same with my 7 iron, if I like it I’ll do the rest of my set. |

Was supposed to be at the driving range but my Iraqi BIL decided to set his property on fire during a burn ban and so got to play that game instead.

Played a scramble with 7 guys from work, celebrating a friend's retirement. Then when I got home my son wanted me to play 9 with him. I am whipped.

Sunny, dead calm, close to 70° in an hour. Might have to go see if my cart has missed me, and try my new 58° Callaway full toe wedge, see if I like it better than the PM 60° '19 model.

Raining all day, but I needed a break anyways. Working this weekend, so we're hitting a new spot on Lake James Friday: Marion Lake Club.

Okay, my first time playing mountaintop golf. Hitting on a Par 3 that was so far below that you couldn't see the flag was fun. As was skirting around the side of someone's lakehouse.
Attached File On one hole the blue tees were across a road in somebody's front yard. They had a swing set up right behind the tees. |

58 and full sunshine here in southeast Kentucky today. Played 18 with my grandson; and loved every minute of it.

Sloppy 40 this afternoon. 3 bogeys and a double vs one birdie. Blew it over from 70 yards twice. Struck it well. Little too well a couple times. Short game gets goofy after indoor league

Damn that looks wet! I hope that was a hazard in the distance and not a fairway.

Played Palmilla Mountain & Ocean courses yesterday. 38 on the front, 45 on the back 😐 and that with a jacked back from taking divots during the back 9.
Overall still a wonderful day! Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Golf league starts tonight with a team scramble.
It's windy so it should be fun. |

I shot 74 in a tough wind this morning. About to get on the plane to play with my dad and friends in WA. The forecast has improved a bit at least.

Day started great, but by 16 the rain started pissing down while the sun was shining everywhere but the course.

Gorgeous pictures. Going to try and get out probably Friday. Work's picked up, finally, but got to make time for it.

I have never been so disgusted with my golf game. The caveat is I'm not playing poorly, just making the wrong swing at the wrong time. A composite of me subbing for my dad the last two weeks has been an 82.
This is 4 birdies, 2 bogies, and SEVEN doubles. 6 doubles are with a penalty shot. Last week it was 3 doubles in 40deg temps with absolutely no excuse for the cold. 3 penalty shots. Today was 4 doubles and the fan was blowing 25mph. No excuse for the wind. I hit it well except for hitting it places you just can't. 1 three putt in the mix. I didn't keep the card but I putted well both days. The greens are perfect. Arrgh, i love this game and hate it at the same time. |
