A large, popular church in the thriving suburb where I live hosts a monthly singles night. Tonight it's at one of those dinner-and-a-movie type places. I did a year-long men's Bible study at this church a couple of years ago, and while I woship and serve elsewhere now, I know they are solid.
I am 49 and somewhat interested in attending one of these events, but I wonder if I'll be adding to a crowd of mostly dudes. It wouldn't be a huge problem, as I would resolve to be social anyway, and I could always stand to make friends with other Christian men. The goal would be to meet single Christian women, however, which I think are numerous in my community, but who knows if this is how any of them will be spending their Friday night. What's your guess? |

At least you are going to an event where there will be women at or close to your age as opposed to that one guy on here who was wanting to hook up with teenagers at church. Nothing wrong with meeting a woman at church as long as you don’t make it weird and creepy.

The ratio of women to men attending church is like 2-1, and a lot of those guys are just there because their wife or mom made them go. Women are probablyore likely to be actively seeking a man that goes to church, so I'd bet the ratio at least would be good.

You have to put yourself out there. I took a drawing class (no credit) at night at a large university. It was 28 women, me and a retired doctor. Get out there and do things you like to do that women go to. |

It certainly couldn't hurt. Better than going to a bar. When a few of the ladies that I went to church with found out that I was single. At first sided with my ex wife. But then after she moved out of state...The same ones were disappointed that I was dating someone.

I predict 70% men, 10% older ladies, 10% fatties, and 10% reasonable looking women who are more into talking with each other about how there aren't any decent men who are 6' tall and make $200k. |
