I made it to the funeral with my partner.  I worked with Roy and my partner went through the academy with him.
I am not big on church, but I thoroughly enjoyed the preacher's K.I.S.S. quote!

I'll never forget him.......... ever.

One of my first gun deals in a free state was with Warren.

He was so happy when we realized we were both Jewish.

He made me feel a little more like I was at home, even though I was far from it.

He's home now.

G-d bless him and his family.

Ha!  Roy was always on top of the Jewish jokes, from the Hebrew Hammer to his Harley 'Jewcycle'....he would kill me those quips!
That being said, you hit the nail on the proverbial head, he was good at making folks comfortable, even newfound friends in the gun
world.

Roy is going to be interred in Arlington National Cemetary this week.  I'm sure that the other Patriots in residence there are going to welcome him with open arms.

It's still hard to believe he isn't here any longer.  Damn.  And I just traded for another rifle...I like to think I am carrying on his tradition of trading guns among friends!

WOW - I had many meetings with Roy over the years, and as fellow firearms instructors - we frequently kept in touch about a number of things. I had absolutely no idea why he stopped responding to emails a while back .

Thank you for this forum, and thank you for this thread.  I'm humbled to call Roy my friend, and am (belatedly) grieving his loss.  RIP brother.
