And she was able to sing like that long before there was any kind of electronic voice trueing or auto tune equipment that so many rely on today.   She truly was impressive, and what a sad loss.

My pick, if not Simone Simons of Epica. There are several lead singers in Within Temptation that are fantastic.

A lot of excellent singers many of them I will never forget.

Karen Carpenter
Pat Benatar
Blondie
Linda Ronstadt

I don’t know how anyone could forget our Sandy. Sandy One or Sandy Two, she will always be my favorite.

One of the best songs by Sandy Two.

Sorry if you guys don’t know Sandy or why there were two of her.

Oh gosh...

There are many I like, but over the years my "favorites" include:

Anouk...found her decades ago when I was stationed in Europe....She's come along way from "Nobody's Wife", I kinda miss the more edgy stuff she sang when younger.

Anouk - It's A New Day [Official Video]

Mary J. Blige...how can you "not" love the Queen of Hip-Hop and Soul!!!!

Mary J. Blige - Everything (Official Music Video)

La India...here we have the Princess of Salsa (well, probably the Queen, upon the passing of the great Celia Cruz)

India -2023 Tour Recap #YoSoyLaIndia #LaIndia #laindiaoficial

Laura Pausini...this woman is a class act. Elegant voice, and sings in different languages. The lyrics in her songs are just beautiful.

LATÍN GRAMMYS 2023 LAURA PAUSINI /Trayectoria Show/ SEVILLA ESPAÑA 16 11 2023

Madonna...I hate her as a person, but love her music. Been to like three of her concerts, where I dressed up as one of her covers at each concert.

Madonna - Iconic (Live from Sydney, Rebel Heart Tour) | HD

ETA:

Karol G....becoming a big fan of hers - especially having in-laws from Colombia

KAROL G Wins Best Música Urbana Album For "MANANA SERA BONITO" | 2024 GRAMMYs Acceptance Speech

Gloria Trevi and Alejandra Guzman - love these chicks for decades:

Morgan James needs to be mentioned.

Jefferson Airplane -White Rabbit-

By far one of the best for such a short time performing.
