Nice piece, Wave-inator!  After looking up a couple of examples on GunBroker, the price is competitive with some bottom feeders, and the quality appears to be better.

I'd just be getting a Pointman Minor, though.

Either that or a Charles Daly 1911A1-EFS.

Whatever I can squeeze out of Uncle Sam for my refund will be the deciding factor.

My wife's Kimber polymer Pro-Carry the day I gave it to her..

She refused to cut the tag off until we got to the range where she proceeded to kick everyone's ass with her new Kimber after years of fumbling with a Glock.

BTW:I bought myself a 9mm Belgium SFS Hi Power and it is probably my favorite pistol of all time..

Here is my Colt 45 Mark IV.  Lots of goodies and by no means a range queen, this gun gets used and abused.

For the simple petty reason that that picture made me nut myself.

My nickel Series 70 Gold Cup propped up by my duty weapon (Glock 22).  She needs to be refinished but she's still a tack driver.  Picked it up about 2 years ago for $300.  It's my second one, but the other is blued and not much to look at.  I just picked up a Kimber Team Match II, I'll have to snap some and load em up.

I'll tell you what.  The DW RZ10 is a lot of gun for the buck.  I would also say the 10mm is a great round. But I wouldn't want to shoot it from anything smaller or lighter then an RZ!

I have just now decided on my next pistol purchase for my brand-spankin' new CCW, when it arrives in the mail:  A Bobtailed Pointman Minor in black.  And yes, less is more.

I thought this belonged here.  I sold it here and really of approx 9-10 handguns I have bought and sold this is the only one I regret selling. I sold it for less than half what it cost to build.

Serrations on the rear of the slide were I think 60LPI to match the serrations on the kimber rear sight but when my tritium kimber sights didn't line up right I bought an MMC ajustable rear sight with red tritium inserts.  The MMC multi color sights are really the only way to go (no more wondering which dot is the front sight).

I think I am going to get an SGW, because they apparently have a gunsmith there who is awesome and my buddy has a wrecked frame we can get w/o papers and have a replacement cut with the same numbers.

Ski, how you like the Simonich grips?

Orginally posted by Lumpy196: "Ski, how you like the Simonich grips?"

I like the hard ruff surface. It afords a firm none slip grip. The grip doesn't have sharp edges like some people might think.

As you probably alreay know Simonich calls them Gunner Grips.

At one stage in an IDPA match we had to submerge our hands in water right before the timer went off.  I didn't have any problems gripping the pistol and firing off that string.

Plus it looks cool and a Marine Recon unit is trying them out also.

[ArtieJohnson]Vedddddy interestink![/ArtieJohnson]

Me like, if they're not too rough on bare hands.  For CCW, the skateboard tape would have to go...  For anything else, it's great.

Rambosky What are the grips on the Springfield? The all blue that is.

Those grips are "Burner grips"

Flat wood or plastic with glued on 3M aluminum oxide particles (IE Skateboard tape without the tape.)

The particles do unfortunately wear off and the wood or plastic becomes visible.

Other than that they are nice grippy grips.

OK thanks.  Am looking for some grips with the stick/grip of the skateboard tape or similar but would like them to be durable. Any ideas welcome.

I got those through Springfield.  I think they put them on their TRP Operator.

GreenO is correct.  The "grit" comes off and gets into the pistol.  I've since replaced them with another pair of "Gunner Grips".
