Wasn't intending to buy but found this at my LGS today and couldn't pass it up.
Very clean 3913 made in 1999, box and 2 factory mags plus another blued mag. Attached File Attached File |

Great gun.
Still kick myself for all the $325 3913s I passed over. |

I have liked those ever since Demolition Man. I trade a Glock 26 for a 3913 years ago.

Could be a regular one but pretty sure it's the Tactical. I need to take it to the range. I think I even ordered a few extra recoil springs for it. Feels really, really good in the hand. You're gonna love it, OP! |

I’ve been wanting one but man, they are 750 on gunbroker for some kind of beat looking 3913’s. I want one so bad but not at that price for what is essentially a collector piece.

They can still be had for reasonable prices if you are patient and this one looks almost new. Attached File |

I wanted a 3913 or a 5906. Got it for 455. I hope its in decent shape. It does say in the listing that there is some wear on the left side but I can’t see it in the pics. Its probably minor but these guns are like 25-30 years old. |

Nice find.
Once upon a time, I had a 3913, 3914LS, 5906, 457 & 4506. All great shooters, but all gone now. Don't make the same mistake, OP. |

Virginia (where I was living at the time) went shall-issue July 1, 1995. I had the permit by the third week in July. I was very impressed by the turn around time given the recent law change. My first carry gun was a regular (non-NL/LS) 3913. I carried it for a year or so, then got distracted by other things. I have really missed the little gun for a long time. I couldn't resist this one. I will probably carry it at least from time to time. |

You got a great deal on that pistol. Many guys will not even consider it due to the "Lady Smith" being printed on the side of it, which is ok, as it leaves a chance for someone who knows how accurate and easy these are to shoot to get it. I had one for years and never cared about what anyone said about it. the only one who is going to care is the one you point it at if need be and they won't care what is written on it. The only issue I ever had with it was getting more mags, as they are pricey.

Mine came with 2 factory mags and another unmarked black mag. Not sure who made it. Honestly I doubt I'll shoot it much. Just always like this gun in particular and wanted a 3rd Gen Smith in general. Unless the wife wants to carry it, it'll probably be shot once a year. |

I got a 'NIB' Sig P220 that had scuff marks on the stainless slide from rattling around in the plastic box when the chamber flag pushed it up against the plastic box. I'm assuming it was a bumpy ride in the UPS or FedEx truck. Before I paid to send it out to be bead blasted, I figured I would give it a shot. By brushing the finish front to back, I was able to make the finish look pretty good in just a few minutes. Enough so that I didn't send it out. It actually looked close enough to a stainless brushed factory finish that it made the gun look truly NIB again. |

I do miss stainless guns for this reason. It's easy to make a stainless carry gun look better from holster wear with some synthetic wool. I don't touch blued guns (except to remove rust) or alloy frames. I have a J-frame stainless cylinder revolver that I need to polish up. The horsehide pocket holster really does a number on the cylinder. There is some wear on the frame, but it's an alloy frame, so I rather have some wear than remove the anodizing finish. Eventually I'll have it painted when it gets bad enough. |

I’d love to add a 3913LS but they never come up for sale locally. As a matter of fact, neither do most 3rd gens. Even .40 3rd gens aren’t common.
