We all know, well, most of us know, that the old Rock River guns were great.
Has anyone messed with current production ones? I really like the look of the 1911 Carry 5" that are around on the market. RRA Website. |

I bought mine about 5 years ago and I like it. The front strap is a bit aggressive on bare fingers but it doesn’t slip when you have sweating palms. I can’t locate the box but I think that I paid about $1,800 for it new.

ROCK R I V E R (RRA) makes some of the finest 1911's out there.

I've heard nothing but good.
Wish I wouldn't have ordered one before their price jump. |

I have one in 9mm. It’s pretty tight and shoots good groups. The trigger is clean, but not exactly light. So far, it runs well on several brands of magazines. Attached File

I got one a few months back and ran a hundred rounds through it without a hiccup. It ran so well I converted it to a 460 Rowland. Close to 1000 rounds of my own receipt and it appears it functions better than most Rowland conversations.

I have my own qualms about their 2001 spec AR15's, but their 1911's are still great options.
I work about 3 miles from them |

I'm sorry if the above info makes no sense. I'm kind of an idiot.

I found my RRA 1911 box and it had the original receipt in the box. I bought the pistol for $1,800 and now it's listed on the RRA website for $2,925.
