And I found two 500rd cases of Brown Bear 9mm Mak I had forgotten were stashed under there. Time to take the Bulgy Mak to the range.

Swapped out the original recoil spring for a 21 pound replacement...really tames the recoil!👍still trying to get my 22 lr conversion kit to be reliable.Hotter loads may help it cycle better?😐

Brown Bear is weak enough ammo that I would not want to put a stronger spring in mine. Do not have any experience with the .22 conversion for Maks, but I would definitely try a hotter load.
