I’m late jumping into the pistol rds game. Going with a g19 with a milled slide for a rmr 06. I’m looking for suggestions on the buis as far as…

* height of the sights

* blacked out front and rear or blacked out rear only

* rear buis in front or behind the rmr

* any other tips or suggestions are much appreciated

Thanks
Matt

Personally I choose blacked out suppressor height sights(all of them). Trijicon makes some good ones that are blacked out but still have tritium. Remember to loc-tite the mounting screws and to buy the proper sealing plate for the dot and change the battery every year. After spending a couple years carrying rds at work and training with them, I have switched back to irons due to less complexity and less added weight for my own personal needs. YMMV

And while I'm no master shooter with irons I do feel comfortable with them out to 30-40 yards after using them for 15 plus years.  So even wondering how much I need a red dot.
