Dumb question, but I figured I'd ask here. I really want to get a Dagger, but the one thing I really dislike about Glocks is that "bump" on the back of the grip. From pics here I see the Dagger has one, some pics it looks the same but others smaller. Thoughts from current owners?

I have a compact and S frame and they do not cause me issues. But the hump on the Glock 19 and 17 size does not bother me either.

There are various ways to get rid of it.

I think in years past, people would fill the open back strap area with an epoxy, wait for it to harden then basically remove what they didn't want and smooth out the rest and restipple.

There is a store-bought solution if you want to do it yourself in a slightly more professional manner.

This thread has the following links, in case that disappears.

Here is the grip hump eliminator jig. It's 100 bucks, which is sort of dumb if you're only buying it to do one. If you're going to do several, or maybe rent it out to your friends for 10 bucks a pop, you might make your money back.

Here is the replacement pack strap he sells. Notice there is one for the 19 size and 17 size dagger. He also sells them for the actual Glocks as well. Be sure to read everything and see if it's something you are willing to do yourself.

If you use a wraparound grip of rubber or some sort of material, you can always remove the area behind that and fill it with something and cover it with the grip. It would be more forgiving of sloppy workmanship (like I would do).

Another option is the aftermarket frame by Lone Wolf. It is very straight.
