The frame seems like it has more Beretta features than s&w to me.

Yes.... much more "Beretta" inspiration than S&W. Look at the trigger, trigger bar and mag release... all Beretta 92 copy... i bet the takedown lever is as well but can't see it. If it takes S&W 59 series mags, great but I bet the resemblance ends there. The safety looks to be inspired by the Taurus PT92 if anything.
Cloning the attributes of a proven design is a good thing as long they do their part in assembly/parts manufacturing.... all the Turkish pistols I own are pretty flawless, and I think I'm up to 11 currently. |

Unless you already own a bunch of S&A 59 mags, who'd see that as a plus?

The barrel doesn't lockup like a Beretta 92.

I just ordered one today from PSA, I have a 910 and a 559 so I have a shitload of mags to fit it. At least it was in stock and the price wasn't jacked up from gouging.

Safety does not drop the hammer, SA pull avg: 4.7 lbs DA avg: 10lbs Takedown is kind of odd, you have to press the button under the takedown lever as you rotate the lever It's not too bad because you can have the slide locked back while you do this. The finish is just like a regular Beretta 92 and there are similarities all over it that are like it as well, it does have the feel of the Smith 559 and as you can see in the picture, the mag it came with(the only one) is a Mec Gar 59 15rd. |

Fits my Blackhawk Serpa C1311 that I bought for my G17, but doesn't fit very well in my Fobus for the same model.

They should have done a ASP S&W clone. It would serve the same role as the clone they made and appeal to the retro crowd. I probably would have got one if they did that. I'm going to eventually get one of their Hi-Power clones.

I’d still like to have a 945 as a conversation piece, but cloning one into looking kind of like a S&W 59 series seems odd. Never underestimate the Turks ambition to knock guns off though I guess. |

View Quote Definitely NOT a "S&W Clone" - It just happens to be a 9mm that accepts S&W 5900 series magazines. None of my S&W 2nd or 3rd Gen guns do have any huge Beretta type trigger bar on the exterior of the right side. BIGGER_HAMMER |
