It seems that lately there are some members, non-paying ones at that, that are replying to holster thread with "PMing"
No longer will that be tolerated in this forum, or any other forums I Mod in the Handgun section. If you want to conduct business, then I suggest you set up a dealer account here. If I see anyone posting "PMing", "IM sent" or "email sent" I will remove your access to the forum. This is a tech forum, not the EE or a place for you make a buck. Thank you for your time, Management. |

I make holsters as a hobby, because I enjoy making them. Is it inappropriate for me to share pictures of things I've made just for the sake of sharing it with others? I see it similarly to "I just stippled my gun, what do you think?" If I'm wrong, please let me know.

A lot of "hobby holster makers" here, have crossed the line, in the open forum. So, while I don't have a problem you showing what you made for yourself, the minute it crosses the line into selling or responding to someone's post about a holster for a particular gun, with the intention of making and selling a holster, then there is a problem. So you can show what you make for yourself, but no open selling... |

If a member is selling holsters, and PMs a member with an offer, but does not post about it. Can that member get in trouble if the person he tried to deal with says no, and reports him?

View Quote It's possible. That is why we say that, unless it's a threat or related to a EE dispute, what happens between 2 members via IM stays there. However, all buying and selling should be done in the EE, in case that an issue arises between the seller and buyer, so that a EE Mod can moderate the issue. |
