I currently am running the factory Uncle Mike's boot grips on my 637. I have used the Hogue grips, but they interfered with speed loader use. I also have Pachmayr Compac grips, which I really like, but are too big for concealment. My question is do I stick with the Uncle Mike's (which seem to have great reviews), or is going with a T-Grip/slim factory grip the preferred method? I've never tried a T-Grip, but I hear great things. What can you folks tell me about this super broad topic?

Original grips and a Tyler are the best concealed option. But not the most pleasant to shoot. And getting a t-grip is either very expensive on eBay or a very long wait from the company. BK grips make a pretty good knock off of the Tyler’s and are much easier to get. The best compromise I’ve found is the Uncle Mikes.

Thanks. If the T-grip isn't very pleasant, then I will probably stick with the UM. Not much is pleasant with these little guns (aside from the big Pachmayr). The UM conceals fine for me. I just keep seeing people making a big deal about the T-grips, so I thought I would ask.

I ended up with the OEM black rubber grips sold with the 642/442. Better fit than the aftermarket offerings.

There's a grip light available as well for J frames. Puts the light just aft of the cylinder on the right just above the recoil shield.

Great grip that conceals just fine and works very well at bad breath distances. Very pleasant to shoot even with 158 gr. loads. My wife loves it and shoots very well with it Came here to post this. Crimson Trace laser grip on my Airweght is very comfortable to me and allows fast point and shoot at bad breath distances. Does a good job of making the gun more pleasant to shoot. Still conceals just fine. Ymmv - Short and doesn't add length - It's surprisingly slim, and can hide nicely in a pocket or on a belt - Lightweight - Due to the backstrap meat the trigger placement is surprisingly workable, even for such a tiny grip - Oh, and the laser is great for low light aiming - Laser is a benefit in dry-fire training, you can see how the laser stops jiggling around during a trigger press with good firm grip View Quote |

These are my current favorite. Aggressive texture. Good concealment. No interference with speed loaders. |

I've had very good results with Badger Custom Grips.
