I went out and bought a S&W Shield Plus. Love it so far. Not much felt recoil and excellent sights.

My question is carry ammo. Most tests see to be done with a 3.5”, or longer, barrel. My Shield Plus is 3.1”.

Anyone have tested or have links to short barreled handguns with defensive ammo?

Watch the video posted above, but you can also search ammo tests on Youtube with the Shield, P365, Hellcat, Glock 43, etc. They all have the same barrel length.


I run 124/147 grain HST in my Shield Plus and P365.
