Which one would you rather have as a suppressor host?

I have both and have KAC suppressor for both. Hands down MK23 is better.

The only thing MK23 is worse at is concealing. But I have several holsters for mine and carry it under a teeshirt regularly. My MK23 is the last gun I’d ever part with.

ETA: I’ve since converted my 45C to LEM.

MK23's have incredible accuracy and very fun to suppress.

Glad to hear your opinion, Ive seen your posts before and really was hoping to hear from guys who had both. Plot twist here, I have a 45c that I bought trying to scratch the itch and it just isnt. Played to much metal gear solid as a kid lol This gun is specifically a woods guns/suppressor host so not worried about concealment. Unfortunately I cant have both at the moment so this one will have to go but Im longing for the 23 lol

I've owned all the .45 HK suppressor hosts.  I'd get the Mark 23 or one of the USP tactical models.  If you want the Mark 23, nothing else will scratch that itch.  For a pure fun suppressed range toy, the Mark 23 is unbeatable.

I really didn't like the HK45 or HK45T and got rid of both shortly after buying them. The grip on both is awful imo, not aggressive enough.

Thanks for your opinion, again really appreciate it coming from the guys with both. Ive got some things for sale now and the goal is to end up with the mk23. Where I should have started lol.

You and me both. I kick myself for not getting one when they were only $1,200 and it seemed like not that long ago.

The MK23 is, by any measurable metric barring price and concealability, the best 45 pistol suppressor host ever made.

Mine is the last pistol I'd part with. Wish KAC would get off their ass and make a run of MK23 cans so I can replace my Rugged Obsidian with the can it is supposed to wear.

KAC discontinued the Mark 23 and USP cans this year.

Have both and love both. The mark 23 with can (and I added a RDS) is like shooting a rifle on the pistol range. I’ll never get rid of it.

What is the quietest can for the MK23?

I’ll go against the grain here. I had the cash in hand to buy a MK23 (it’s been quite a few years ago but I have messed with them) and when I went into the shop they had a USP Tactical .45 and bought that instead. The 23 is awesome but impractical for nearly everything. The Tactical is just as reliable and come in a more manageable size. I wouldn’t get the hK45CT over any of them. In 45C configuration it’s a nice, G19 sized .45 handgun. But suppressed it’s a snappy little bitch.

Is there a 10rd mag for the 45c that doesn’t have the elephants foot.

Pretty sure you can just toss on a regular baseplate.

For can use, the mk23. It's my favorite pistol and the one I'd pick if you said one gun forever. I have the 45ct and a, happy I own it, but it's not in the same league.

No but you can use a dremel/grinder/sander to smooth away the awkward forward lip section of the mag baseplate and make it a bit more streamlined and aesthetically pleasing.

Or the HK45 full size tactical.  I prefer the HK45 Tactical over the HK45 Compact Tactical.  The full size shoots very nice suppressed.  Not as nice as the MK23 but there is a big difference in cost and size.

After spending some time with this firearm, It has quickly became my favorite by far. If anyone else thinks they want one for reasons similar to mine I cant recommend more, GET IT!

I fondled the mk23 at a local gun shop recently.  The grip is terribly undersized for the size of the pistol.  Maybe with an extended magazine one could get a proper grip.  My Glock 21 has the right proportions.  That being said if I had the money I would probably get one.

What is your intended purpose?

Collector / Video Gamer .. MK23

User ... USP45T, HK45T, HK45CT (with the nod going to the USP)

Already picked up the MK23 also id beg to differ. I had the 45ct for over a year almost never shot the thing. Applications for a suppressed pistol are niche at best. This is an outdoor/woods/ranch gun for me, but honestly 9.75 outta 10 times Im still realistically carrying a PDP. For the little this thing is getting any carried use its a much better host than the compact tactical was and have also owned 2 usps in the past. From a straight enjoyment standpoint this gun has already been shot more than the other 3 put together in a couple month period YMMV.

Hello

I am new to the forum and thinking of getting a HK45CT.

Is that light the Streamlight TLR VIR II? Did it fit the CT without modifications?

Thanks

You didn’t quote who you were asking, but the Mark23 on the table next to the delicious meal is indeed wearing a TLR VIR II.

I've always wanted a Mk23 as my bedside gun, it was the first 45 I ever shot.

thank you for the response. Did you have to modify the light mounting interface or did it mount to the HK45ct rail with no mods to the light?

thank you

B&T MK23 cans are available now, it's the other "official" mk23 suppressor.

Sorry for the late response hadn't looked over here in a while. I believe I had to flip the key around to get it to work on the hk45ct. It's been a bit since I had it on that gun. In the later pictures its on the mk23 with a gg&g mount.

Also @HRoark im considering picking up one of those cans
