As far as I know this is a new model being shown at shot show. Anyone have any details on what makes these different from the standard metal 2.0.

The police version is black finish on the metal frame and has metal optic plates included. I shot one the rep had - it was good, should be a good choice. The civilian version metal is silver and more $

Wish they’d make a metal framed 10mm pistol.

So will this one be offered to us mere mortals?

Dunno, but I'm piecing together a 2.0 metal gun right now.
Got a deal on a spare slide and optic, and of course gun parts tend to grow into guns...

I think Sig and Smith's marketing of certain guns as LEO only is just dumb.
The Gray metal frame doesn't look bad, but I'd prefer a black frame.
I think the 2023 spec series looks like shit with the green and the comp they chose. So I made my own.
I'd prefer a black frame though.

Agreed on all points...
What comp is that, Herrington?

Yep. Don't have a lot of rounds through it but it hasn't come loose yet and doesn't look like dog shit like the faxon.

The SKU is 13808, search for that on GB, or elsewhere, and you may find sellers.

Got my shiny metal together.
With the dot, trigger and BarSto barrel it feels like cheating...

I had an M&P M2.0 CORE 9mm since shortly after they were release, I bought the M&P Metal 9mm recently, swapped slides and now I shoot this for IDPA:

When I googled that Sku, range usa popped up as an add to cart. No mention that I could see of LEO credentials needed, also, not sure of the website.

Does the Metal series have any more of a magwell vs the polymer?

No worries, they're legit, they have a store/range local here, and many across the USA.

No, not exactly.  The Competition model does have a plastic funnel glued to the bottom of the grip which does the job.  I don't like it because normal M&P full size magazines won't work with that funnel.  I have a lot of standard M&P full-size mags and am not interested in buying new mags just for the Competition model.  Some Competition owners remove that plastic funnel so their standard M&P full-size mags will work.

I also have the M&P Competitor.I have a bunch of M&P 2.0 mags.I removed the plastic funnel and now they work.If I was to get some base pads from TTI or Taylor free lance could I replace the plastic funnel and use the M&P mags with extended base pads.
