I have a new-to-me model 29-3 with the 4 step front sight.  This revolver is the 10" model.

What elevations do you set up each step for?  One is closest, I'm guessing  50 yds., 2 for 75, 3 for 100 and 4?  My skills are marginal for  100 yd shots from a pistol.   I'll never be Jerry!
