I have no experience with the older ones, but this new one has a smoother action than my performance center 686. I’m impressed.

I really like mine.

All three are very accurate with full wadcutters.

This is from the 3" Python:

Drew some dots to shoot extra groups.
My contribution to the green movement = shoot and use up as much of the paper as I can.

Congrats. They really do have a smooth trigger pull. Very comfortable to shoot. The only issue I have is getting used to the cylinder release function.

I have two, a 4.25 and a 3.  I like them a lot.

I really want to pick up a 2.5-inch model.

I like mine. Two issues though: not 100% reliable in DA, even going back to Colt twice, and that damn sharp grooved trigger!

Hard to beat a classic even if it is the newer one.

They are very well done.
I haven't had any issues with mine, smooth trigger pull and very accurate.

I think the fit and finish on the older models is a little better.

Always get both!

I like mine. I do want to fix the CA-compliant single action issue though.

I tried the 3" version.
Didn't care for the grip. I wish there was a rounded grip frame model available.

Wow! Nice. I had a 4" blue I bought new in the late 1970s. From the reviews I have seen the (New Blue) is just as nice. I may have to get one.

I wonder why they changed the vents/ribbing from 2 to 3.

Perfect with a set of combats, not sure why they use the same target grips for everything.

On one of the video Colt published, they mentioned about that being more eye pleasing with 3 vents on 4.25" barrel. No body ask for it, Colt always does what it think it's right (not always in the same page as the buyer). I saw more negative comments on that than the likes in most forums discussing the new blued Python.

I was under the impression that was just a pre-production thing and production guns were supposed to have he correct 2 vents. 3 vents on the 4" barrel looks retarted.

I love my Anaconda and ever since i have it i want a little Brother for it, especially blued.

Maybe if PSA bringts the blems back. Better triggers than any new S&W i have tried.

Unfortunately 3 vents on 4.25 is the final production design. Whoever call the shot at Colt is retarded in my opinion too. Feel like putting "tactical" MLOK slots on the classic revolver.

Are the Pythons having the same hammer breakage issues that are cropping up on the new King Cobra?

They came out with the 8” Python yesterday, 5 vents.

if I had to guess, I'd say that the vent thing is because the spacing they're using means they only have to have one size cutter to make all barrel length vents.

It’s just a cosmetic change that they thought would look better, not tooling cost related at all.
