I have no experience with the older ones, but this new one has a smoother action than my performance center 686. I’m impressed.

I really like mine.
All three are very accurate with full wadcutters. This is from the 3" Python: Drew some dots to shoot extra groups. My contribution to the green movement = shoot and use up as much of the paper as I can. Attached File |

Congrats. They really do have a smooth trigger pull. Very comfortable to shoot. The only issue I have is getting used to the cylinder release function.

I tried the 3" version.
Didn't care for the grip. I wish there was a rounded grip frame model available. |

I don't know nothin'. I just post here.

Wow! Nice. I had a 4" blue I bought new in the late 1970s. From the reviews I have seen the (New Blue) is just as nice. I may have to get one.

I wonder why they changed the vents/ribbing from 2 to 3.

No body ask for it, Colt always does what it think it's right (not always in the same page as the buyer). I saw more negative comments on that than the likes in most forums discussing the new blued Python. |

Feel like putting "tactical" MLOK slots on the classic revolver. |

Are the Pythons having the same hammer breakage issues that are cropping up on the new King Cobra?

They came out with the 8” Python yesterday, 5 vents.

if I had to guess, I'd say that the vent thing is because the spacing they're using means they only have to have one size cutter to make all barrel length vents.

It’s just a cosmetic change that they thought would look better, not tooling cost related at all.
