Anyone got a decent fix for the sharp trigger grooves on the new Python? Thing really irritates my trigger finger.

Tyler Manufacturing Trigger shoes might work.  of course the extra weight on the trigger might alter the trigger pull too.

Looking at  Jerry Kuhnhausen "The Colt Double action Revolvers  A Shop Manual Vol. 1, the removal of the trigger doesn't seem an impossible task, with it out filling off the serrations is doable.

Yeah, I did pull the trigger out already. Pretty easy to disassemble vs. S&W. Problem is, the raised edges of the grooves are what's sharp. Not the easiest to get to, unless maybe I tried a Dremel with a ball end something or other.

There are gunsmiths who can remove the serrations and polish the trigger face.

The sharp edges don't need a lot of reducing to give a comfortable feel.

There are two main methods, made easier if you can remove the trigger from the gun.  But it can be done assembled.........

Use a Dremel tool with a Cratex rubber Medium grit abrasive cone to smooth the areas.

Wrap fine wet or dry sand cloth around a wood dowel and use it like a file to break the sharpness.

If you do either with the trigger in the gun, wrap LOTS of masking tape around the frame and inside the trigger guard.  Wrap EVERYTHING that might be hit if you slip.
Make sure all opening into the action around the trigger are covered to prevent abrasive grit from getting into the action.

Tape is cheap, USE PLENTY.

Brownell's sell the rubber abrasive cones and mandrel, and Dremel sells mandrels in many hobby and hardware stores.

Now that's the kind of do-it-yourself WECSOG I can get behind. Trigger is quite easy to remove.
