I would think so, I hope they make it single stack though.

It will be interesting to see if any of these new features bleed over in the existing SIG 1911s like the STX.

I also wonder if a 9mm version is planned.

Or if a 10mm model will be offered? Sig used to market a 10mm Tac OPs 1911.

I'd buy one of the 4.25's in 9mm.

Curious how reliable their extractor design is with the 9mm's. Didn't the 45's have some issues?

That was my first thought.

Watched the video from my phone but looked like they stuck to their stupid external extractor

Was the slide profile changed so that it'll fit in normal 1911 holsters?

I would think so, the scorpion line did a good job of having normal slides.

Id love to talk to the genius who deviated from a 100 year old design to require proprietary holsters

Correct. While less common, there are multiple productions of standard slide + rail.
Sig slide + rail would be a lot harder to find

I had to find a Sig specific holster for my my Scorpion. A holster made for other railed 1911's would not work. Ended up with a leather one from Kramer. I bought the pistol not long after they came out so there is probably more options now.

Finally someone who can get an optic mounted correctly to a 1911.  Everyone else has these stupid plates that sit super high.  That gun looks to be using regular height sights and they cowitness.  Perfect!

Now, if Sig can make a version that uses P365 Mags with different grip and slide lengths, they'd dominate Staccato.  And by grip lengths, I mean to use all the P365 mags.  One for 10/12/15 and 17.  If I could only pick two, I'd pick the 12 round and the 17 round.  Make the optic mount the same so we can just use the Romeo X direct on there.  I'd sell all my Staccatos tomorrow for those.

It seems kind of arbitrary.

I had a emperior scorpion fastback (no rail) that fit in a standard milt sparks summer special 2

I have one of the older Scorpion Carry models with the flat silver trigger and Hogue brown/tan magwell G10 grips. It has a P220 slide profile and does not fit any of my 1911 holsters.

I'm a fan of Sig.

But I can't get past the external extractor and P-series slide shape.  Just give me a nice Sig Sauer 1911.

I actually prefer the external extractor.  No 'tuning' needed.  I also prefer the traditional slide profile vs the Sig profile, but never an issue with a leather holster.

I owned an old Kimber with the external extractor.  It never caused a problem (it had other issues, but that's beside the point).

Truly, its about aesthetics and ease of finding replacement parts...more so the aesthetic.  Same with the Sig slide profile.

So my opinion is almost purely subjective.

I’m not usually an expensive 1911 guy but I am curious about these.  I like the coyote color one and the optic cut looks good.

Would also love to see some feedback.  They’ve gone in and out of stock at Bud’s the last week, so someone is buying them!

To me that's part of the charm to SIG 1911s.  I think they look cool, and if the external extractor actually works, it would be preferable to me.

I’m hoping one of these slides will drop on my existing Scorpion.
