I happened to look at two of them side by side and didn't realize how much of a difference the milling on the slide has changed.
Is there much difference on the inside? Trigger mechanism? I know the magazines are still interchangeable through the series, just wondering about everything else. |

You can cut a new notch in an inexpensive surplus M9 mag. Looks funky but works reliably. Battlefield pick up in Astan and gun has only one factory mag.

Good to know about the M9 mags. I picked up a used SD40VE, and it came with one magazine.

I'm in no hurry to find out now. i was able to source another OEM 15rd mag at the LGS. The owner mentioned he had box full of miscellaneous magazines, and I just had to dig through it to find the mag. I was able to score an OEM 15 rounder for $17!
