Hey fellas. So my dillema is I have an SA 1911A1 loaded, which has night sights. But the issue is the tritium vial is missing entirely from my front sight and it is driving me bonkers at this point.
I read that the SA 1911A1's have a proprietary front sight cut on the slide. So with that being said, do any of you guys know of a set that will for sure work on my slide? Or a link to even a factory SA front night sight? Thank you for any help. |

What did Springfield Armoory suggest when you called them? They provided excellent service when I sent mine in for other issues. I was thinking about getting night sights for mine but haven't gotten around to calling them to see what they offer.

Turns out my closest FedEx hub is an hour drive away and it would be a month plus turn around time on top of that. I would rather handle it myself even if it means spending some money. I don't really have time to make that drive over a tritium vial |

Kensight has a couple of Springfield specific fronts. I just put a ProGlo on my Garrison. Used a 10-8 on the rear (rear should be a standard Novak cut, or very close to it).

The front vial was so dim in mine that it drove me bonkers and I replaced it with the 10-8 fiber optic one last year. The only thing that sucks is that it isn't relieved on the sides so it doesn't blend with the curvature of the slide.
I think I'm going to send my slide to Green Tick to get direct milled for an RMRcc now though.  |
