Basically a gussied up BBtech BB6.  Interesting gun for sure.  $345+ at most places.  ODG, Black, and Gray available

Interesting.

I still have an abusive relationship with Taurus. So many nice designs, yet so many past pieces of shit.

What exactly does this design do that isn't already duplicated by many other products?

Not trolling, but serious.  They already sell a full size 9 mm in the G3 and that thing has dropped to basically $200.

Lots actually.   Bubits is a genius level designer.   This gun has been around for years in Brazil.  Philippines police issue it.  Google BB6 9mm design features and be amazed.  30% less tilt of barrel die to rear lockup, pinned all inclusive breech block, super low bore axis, etc.

Also hammer fired and not striker fired. It looks much like their PT900 series from the 90s.

Every description I read says it is striker fired, including the official Taurus site.

I like Bubits designs, some of my favorite pistols. Caracal Walther etc.

I'm guessing TS-9= Taurus Striker-fired while TH-9=Taurus Hammer-fired (?)  Handled one of these at a local store recently. Seems like a solid design although it's definitely one of those "rattles when you shake it" guns.

The profile view reminds me a little of the Bersa BP9.

Green one, and yes it does have the ambi slide release.

I will admit, it felt strange lifting the slide up and off the frame during disassembly, instead of the usual moving the slide towards the front of the frame and then off.

How's it shoot?

@yamahawarrior89

The gun shoots just fine.  Pull the trigger, it goes bang.

I finally got it to the range yesterday, and had no failures.  Being meant as a duty gun, the trigger pull is a little heavier than some others, but certainly acceptable.  The trigger break and reset is crisp, and the reset is both audible and tactile.  The grip texture is o.k.  I have smaller hands and short fingers, so the thumb supports were of no real use to me.  The only problem I found was that at 7 yards, I was shooting 4" right of center, but with a decent grouping.  So mine requires some sight adjustment.

It ate what I fed it with no problem.  Winchester Valor 124gr NATO, Magtech 9A 115gr FMJ, and Speer 124gr TMJ (53651).

For $288, I think it was worth the purchase price.  I don't see it as being one that I'll carry, but it will do fine as a range toy or home gun.
