After my dad passed I got these three.

So I got the itch a month or so ago.  Ended up at the fun store looking at a Tisas Raider inn 9mm but ended up with this.

Then I ended up with this.

Then this because I could get it for $830.

My grandad passed and got this.

I had been looking at Dan Wesson Specialist and ended up finding these at Bud's

Don't have it as my cousin has it but my great grandfather's 1921 Colt 1911

Sorry about your Da, granddad, and great-granddad.

Nice inheritance.  We have two Dan Wessons in the family.  I got the .357 for my Sinister, for obvious reasons, and a 9mm for my brother.

I’m not a huge fan of rails on 1911 pistols but these are some nice looking pistols. I’d be happy to own any one of them, especially the Colts you got from your dad.

No doubt, sorry they are gone OP but they left you some beautiful pistols.

Only Colt in the family I shot/learned the story of was my uncles and it went to his son in TX when he passed.

The only thing I stand to inherit from my dad is his black powder collection (4 or 5 rifles and at least 2 pistols) and bad health...

We're about to go shoot one of the Dan Wessons today.  What's the new hotness in making your own black power?  Toilet paper, was it?

My dad's LW commander I found all the original internals which he swapped out with some Wilson Combat stuff.  I'm tempted to return her back to factory condition.

I’m the opposite, I don’t care for a serrated front, yet only have one without.

Like to hear the story on that…. If I pass a pawn shop, I’ll stop in and take a look, but so far no luck.

It was actually at the Cabela's in Dundee Mi right after they had opened up. I walked out with that one and a  early parked 1991 for $800. The 1991 has been absolutely flawless eating anything thrown at it including some nasty old ww1 and 2 USGI ammo that had verdigris all over it. I'm terrified to monkey with a thing other then the recoil spring.

I snagged all sorts of stuff from that store including guns on the floor racks that should have never been out there in the first place like a double stamped US Property 513T.

They often had some idiot pricing library guns that should have been priced much higher.

I picked up an early Colt Government in stainless out of a Cabelas gun library a few years ago I think I had $400 in it this was probably 2015. It was rock solid but scratched like crazy. I ran a couple of boxes through it and she ran like a sewing machine. I took it to a buddy of mine who bead blasted the entire gun for me.
I spent some time on the bench with scotchbrite pads and polished the flats and when done I swear she looked brand new. Like a dummy I traded it
