@Tisas
Are you guys planning to release a 2011 style pistol. I did a quick search and found the Girsan one but nothing from you guys. |
They have to be planning something like this to stay competitive. Like you said Girsan now has a double stack. I really wish they would offer stainless and calibre options. Optic cut standard.
however I still havent seen a Girsan at a dealer or even at an online store.
But what I saw on this pistol is, it takes the old "Para/RIA" mags? Not really interested. Those mags were not well thought of as I recall.
Those mags are fine except when you try to add extensions. Then perhaps fickle.
Just coming here to start a thread like this. At Tisas' quality/pricepoint, a 2011 would be awesome. Maybe under $1000 and copy a good optics cut?

I'm sorry if the above info makes no sense. I'm kind of an idiot.

Excellent. Been happy with what you guys are doing and have actually been recommending you over Springfield.
And this coming from a guy that has 4 Springfield 1911's and 2 Prodigy's. |

RIA and Paraord are steel frame and 17 round mags. Overmolded grip screams Hogue to me. Just trying to clarify.
If it’s not a true 2011 style and it ends up just being like the Para Ord or Remington 1911 double stack, that is a deal breaker for me. The appeal of the 2011 is the ability to change grips and this includes grip lengths. This makes the gun far more modular. Also at this point 2011 mags are pretty much figured out and more and more companies are coming online making mags. I recently shot a friends modded 2011, took a CS, had it internally comped and paired it with a full size grip, it is a flat shooting laser. You can’t do something like that with a built in grip like the Para.

That is insane. I hope their iron sights and optics plate is compatible the staccato. If so that means there is already lots of options for sights. |

Those pics show a 2011 pattern, not Para.

The more the merrier. Prodigy was my gateway drug. These size 9mm are so easy to shoot well.
Attached File If mags are compatible (they are) the springer duramags and CMI mags have been flawless and the have best prices. Unless Tisas turns that around. Tisas could have lead the pack and come up with a 365 size mag and corresponding smaller grip frame. Probably 1 or 2 rounds less in that size. Would have been nice to get away from the 9mm/38S size guns and mags, but they do work well. |

yea 2011, means I get one
Double Stack 1911 means I yawn and move on. and those pics are 100% 2011 I just hope they use 2011 mags or something better NOT old para mags. Looking Good Tisas. |

I'm not even sure where you'd buy one. So are the MAC marked guns the same quality as the Tisas marked guns? |

That's so hot.
I want a 45ACP version too. Weird they marketed under the MAC brand. I thought that was going to be all retro stuff? |

Love the MAC one, likely buying one IF the price is not higher than the Prodigy; otherwise it's the Prodigy.
Either one. |
