Picked it up on Saturday and took it to the range Sunday.  Very impressed with it so far.  No issues whatsoever.

Nice! What ammo did you run through it suppressed?

I picked up the single stack version, headed to the range with it this weekend
Won't have the can for it for another 6-18 months though, thanks FATF

I ran standard 115 FMJ and the Winchester 147grn Defender JHP.  It ate everything.

Hammer back, safety off, and a magazine in (?) with something jammed in the trigger guard, classy.

Thanks.  It's unloaded but I know that won't matter to you.

What optic cuts/plates and mounts are available for this?  Does it take normal 2011 magazines?

It's cut for RMSc.  I'm not sure if there are other plates out for it.  Per the Tisas site, "Tisas 1911 Double Stack Series Pistols are compatible with Tisas® DS, Military Armament Corp.™ and other STI 2011™ Magazines."

should use standard sti pattern mags.
I think the Tisas ones look like Checkmate made mags.

And who made you the adjudicator of safety?  You are the same dork who cries "Unsafe" at a photo of a shooter with their finger on the trigger in the act of firing a gun.  Get a Life.

Any chance I could come shoot it? LOL. I’m normally opposed to the idea of a Turkish gun but these have my interest up. So inexpensive comparatively.

I ordered a Tisas Duty Double Stack 5” and a EPS Carry and 3 extra Prodigy 20rd Mags. Figured it might fit my existing 1911 w/ tlr1 light holster if I didn’t get the threaded bbl.

They happen many different ways, however always REQUIRE a loaded chamber.  Was that enough of a reminder?

Damn that looks sharp.  How was it with 158 grain?

Edit.  Where’d you buy it from?

Didn't shoot 158 grain, only 115 and 147, functioned flawlessly with both.

I believe I got this one from GunZoneDeals.  I've ordered a few different guns online lately so I'm not 100% sure.

Texas is a big state but if you are near Spring, we could probably make that happen.  I also have the MAC JSOC 1911 you could try.

The only issue I had was brass to face.  It would consistently put ejected cases on top of my head or in my face.

I tightened up the extractor tension a bit but no dice.   I reprofiled the ejector tip and now it ejects properly.

Accuracy was good, easy to put them in one hole at 10 yards.  Sight regulation was right on for my 135gr reloads but the rear sight gap was slightly wider than I’d like.

Prodigy mags worked as well as the Tisas mags.  Slide lock back was consistent with the Tisas mags, can’t remember about the Prodigy mags.

Barrel uses a Clark-Para style ramp.  The top of the ramp had a sharp rollover but it didn’t seem to impede feeding.  The throat was long and a 9mm Manson finishing reamer removed no metal at all (the Prodigy required reaming).

One pet peeve was the sharp corner of the frame right below the serial number.  Other manufacturers bevel this edge to varying degrees, but the Tisas had none at all.  Depending on your grip and hand size, this could be a problem.

The manual said nothing at all about what red dot sights are supported.  The slide seems to be cut for a mini RDS direct mount like the HS 507K, but I have not bothered to research it yet.

I’m favorably impressed with the Tisas DS, I give it two thumbs up.

It is an RMSc footprint.  The HS507K will fit.

These definitely tick all the right boxes for me. If I stumble across one for a good price, it's probably coming home with me.

Sharp looking piece. Thank you for sharing your experience with it.  The price is quite reasonable on those too if I'm not mistaken.

Did you need an adapter for the barrel to the can? I thought Tisas uses a weird thread pattern?

Sharp looking setup

Debating between this or the MAC DS for later this year.
