Well get with it Beetle!
nevermind.... apparently there's an update being done. |
hey I dont know if you heard of not, but there's been an update |
I called these guys and sounds like they could do it
http://redrmt.com/ someone call them and you may can give better details than I can ask for either Glen Fogal or Clark Russell |
thanks! |
Remind me to smack you next time I see you Smart ass! |

He wasn't there last time I tried him. Will try it again tonight. |
contact with Anvil Arms is successful. Update when more details are received. I like writing in short, impersonal sentences. |
because you're a short, impersonal person?
j/k BTW... did you take care of those 4-wheelers yet? |
you change your picture more often than I change my underwear. Actually, I think I may have taken care of the ATVs (momentarily anyway) but I can only divulge how in person |
LOL that's a little more info than I needed! Actually, I didn't like the other one... was too blurry and I don't have a cool one like yours.
I think you should have gone with my suggestion of placing claymores out there for them! |
Sorry. Just being stupid.... A reference would be nice. Beetle's 2nd Tri-States (Ben Raines....) with the AR15*Com with Stars & Bars. |
alabama with stars and bars looks good to me! oh, and this isn't a tag since we have that little tag button and all....
Im in, I didn't read all the posts but have you guys decided on a design and a price if so could you IM me with info and what I need to do Thanks.
No, nothing has been decided yet. This thread was to (1) gauge interest, (2) discuss designs, and (3) find someone to bear the brunt of the research burden so I don't have to steal time away from my new babies (Thanks, BB, for stepping up, BTW! ) Once we have more information on vendors, minimum quantity, pricing, etc., we will compare that to the interest expressed here, see if it looks feasible, and then ask Staff for approval to move forward (via TBS). Please keep the comments and suggestions coming -- I'm pleased at the interest shown thus far! |
Oregon? update - AnvilArms guy says that he is having some computer issues but should be getting back to me in the next few days. |
I'm in - course this means I'll have to put together another AR
I need another lower, so once price and design is set, I'll probably go for one.
just a late thought , why not instead of ar15.com or either with it add
southern pride or southern brotherhood what ever is decided include me in |
I have a reply. How do you guys feel about waiting? And, we need to settle on a final design.
Personally, given the expressed commitment to quality above, I don't mind waiting at all.
Besides, as you say, we have to decide on a final design before we can really do anything, and we are still a good way off from that IMHO. I would rather do this right than do it fast -- what does everyone else think? |
even more updates:
So there we have it, prices should be $100 each + shipping provided we have enough orders (which we should at that price). CombatArms, are you still up for handling the transfers? Mike, I think it may be time to check with site staff, if you would and wouldn't mind I'll make a new post with all of the designs and you guys need to vote on one. |
The one without any writing? Then how will anyone know where the ARcrack we keep getting fed is coming from? |
I will be in for 4 at the $100+/- price point.
And, even though I cobbled "A" together, I prefer "C" myself as long as Site Staff/Owners have no problem with the inclusion of the stars & bars. (Please mention this when bringing it up for discussion, Mike.) As far as the writing goes IMHO it MUST say AR15.com & Gulf States on it -- that was the point of the whole project! |
I'm down for 2 definately, at that price. Maybe one more, depending on when this happens. I'll vote for C1.
oooooh. sorry, sometimes I should read my own post |
I would like to see the design on the lower for size comparison. As the design is made smaller we' ll loose detail. I vote for c as well and in for a few @ $100
First post! I am in for one as well. Any choice will be fine but I would like it to be marked "MULTI".
understood, and welcome |
I vote for "C" also. I'm no longer a maybe. It's 2 for sure since we know how much they are going to be.
I thought ya'll might like to see a timeline for progress, as an object list:
1. Finalize the logo and serial number design 2. Procure a defined list of who is getting what and how many 3. Iron out details with AnvilArms - including payment deadline, estimated timeline for delivery after order submission 4. Get Staff approval 5. Submit order with funds and wait for our goodies Since we are all spread across the board, what makes most sense to me is since CombatArmsInstr. has so graciously offered his FFL services, have them all sent to him, then from there sent out to those respective FFLs of ya'll who aren't local. CombatArms, how does that sound? Also, funds up front, we need to decide on a deadline for the money. |
I suggest getting an estimated date from Anvil about when they could deliver 40-50 lowers (for many reasons I believe it willbe best to do them all in one shipment), and when they would need the funds relative to that delivery date. Then I would set the final order/payment deadline a week or so before that. These will all be alike, no multiple choices/options, so it should be less confusing than some group buys here.
BB, are you going to be able to collect the money and track the orders, or will you need help with that. You would be best IMHO since you have been the contact with the vendor (not to mention that accounting background ), but I don't want you to get overwhelmed. Don't be afraid to ask for help! Once we get the details locked down and Staff's blessing, I suggest you start a brand new thread for ordering/payment and get Mike to tack it. |
I don't have a AR yet so this would make a great starter one for me. Count me in on one.
