roger I've received an order spreadsheet from AA to keep up with everyone, and will be adding names to it as soon as funds start rolling in. |
Cool. I like the "ZOMBIE RESPONSE TEAM" idea too. How will you be taking the funds? I am definitely still in for 1, got the upper for it sitting in the safe.
Bump me to 2 lowers as well. One will need to be a pistol. These will be awesome.
When do we supply the "custom engraving" that we want? I like the Zobie Response Unit too. |
looks like we have a full squad for the zombie unit!! our idea was ZOMBIE RESPONSE TEAM XXX XXX = Our Initials there are a few of us going that route |
Ok, I'm definately in for one and may opt for another depending on funds. Email inbound.

Hi Guys!
Just a quick note to say thank you to the group for inviting Anvil Arms in on your project. We look forward to getting this run underway for you soon. The samples should go out in the next 48 hours. Some of you have come up with some interesting and workable custom text. Looks like this will be fun...lol.. Just FYI, those of you that are getting more than 1, we will TRY to get them in consecutive numbers for you. I noticed somebody asked about picking up units in Lakeland. That is fine if it works for you. Lakeland pickup would be $100 for the lower, $5 call in and $7 sales tax. Plus of course any custom text you add. To do this make sure you notify BeetleBailey when you order so he can make the appropriate notation on the order sheet, otherwise it will get shipped with the rest. Speaking of FFL and pick up, I have an idea that may help some of you, I'll discuss it with BeetleBailey and see if it is feasible, if so, he will let you know. For those of you that have never tried to organize anything like this, the job that BeetleBailey is doing is not an easy one. When your all done, somebody needs to buy him a pizza or at least a 20 round box of ammo! Thanks again for involving us in your project! Jon Kruger President, Anvil Arms LLC Lakeland, FL. |
That may not be particularly important to anyone else, but I certainly appreciate it. Thanks! |
looks like I may be getting two as well, his and her AR's for the girlfriend and myself.
Thanks for chiming in, Jon! As I said in my email, I think that is a great idea if some of you folks in other areas have the chance to band together and have them all sent to one there where you are locally to pick up. We should set a max number required for that though so we don't have you trying to ship them to a hundred different places. Lets see what ya'll grouped-together folks come up with and see how it works out.
I hope CombatArms is ok with that. If anyone has earned a pizza or ammo, it is him. alaman - check the first post which was edited with new info Mike - congratulations! |
I'm in Elmore county. Anyone around the tri-county area chime in if you want them shipped closer. I would rather spend a couple of bucks for the transfer than spend 4 hours on the road to travel to B'ham (I believe that is around the area that CombatArms is). I usually use Alan (Tactical Supply/Redland Wholesale), but I'm open to using others if need be.
I'll take two!
So...After this deal is done, could we perhaps negotiate a GB on uppers? I'd be in for two of those as well, if such a thing could come to pass. |
Turn my confirmed 1 into a confirmed 1 and 99% sure 2 more.

where to send money order and ffl---
need address or ph to talk to you |
is that screen print or laser etched? anything on the other side?
Looks good |
I'm not sure I know the difference (what is the difference?) I can ask |
screen print is just ink layed down, not very durable. Laser etched is burned into the metal
The pic looks great, BB -- THANKS!
One question: There doesn't seem to be a lot of extra space on that side of the magwell once the logo is in place -- where will the extra engraving (screen names, etc.) be? Above or below? Incorporated into the logo? |
I think on the other side. That is actually CombatArm's pic since I haven't gotten the chance to go get them yet (he is about 1.5 hours away from me). I'll try to get him to take a pic of the other side unless I get them first |
On the sample with "BeetleBailey" on it, it is on the same side as the logo located next to the selector (Safe/Fire) indicator and the logo is a little bit larger. I will take a pic for everyone and post...... as soon as I figure out how! I tried to post last night by copy/paste but it asked me for a URL to the pic. As far as I know, my desktop doesn't have a Universal Resourse Locater....
lol. email it to me and i can post it |
Or let me know and I can meet you and take the picture and post. IM inbound
Bump me to three, If i got to fill out the form I might as well fill out all three spaces.
would like 2 as pistols and 1 with custom text to say "Ole Miss, By Damn!" |
They can attach extra pages, y'know. |
I'll have to make sure with Goatboy first if that one is ok. so - you want three total, two of which being pistols, one of which with the custom text? Email me when you get a chance. $309 ($103 each) + $10 for the two pistols ($5 extra each) + $5 for custom engrave = $324 total |
let me know where to send funds, I'm definitely in for 2, each with a custom line sequential #'s would be awesome too, one for me, one for the gf.
I'll probably get them sent to an FFL in Baton Rouge I use, if anyone in the area wants to get theirs sent to the same place let me know. |
Is there enough room for all the info that has to be engraved on it to SBR it? If so, how much would that cost?
Yes, I am interested in having our orders shipped together to save on S&H costs. I use City Pawn on Florida for $15 per transfer. Is your FFL cheaper? |
Holy Crap, I just found this thread! Hell Yeah I want one. Freaking "TorchUall" on a side of a receiver. Sweet ass logo on the side. Where do I send money?????? Only one question, RDIAS ready? If not, I'm still in.
I want two.
One that has "Live free or die" on it One that has Molon Labe in Greek on it |
You mean this "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ"? |
If that is the correct Greek spelling yes. Thanks |
Greetings Guys,
Our lower receivers are 100% RDIAS ready, as president of the company, I would not have it any other way! (By the way, this information is both on our website and on the very first page of this thread “Our lower receivers are 100% “MilSpec” EXCEPT that the actual “MilSpec” includes the ability to fire fully automatically. These lowers meet every other dimension and tolerance in the specification except for that one area where by federal law they are not allowed to. However, our lower receivers are fully compatible and completely ready for a registered drop in auto sear.") Did I mention that we also have a LIFETIME WARRANTY against manufactures defects/workmanship? We DO NOT screen print. This is LASER ENGRAVING. In order to remove it you would have to sand blast it off or take some kind of grinder to it. In either case, your not going to like the end result of doing so. Simply put, the image WILL NOT WEAR OFF. Period. In order to keep prices as low as possible for your group we set the custom text at $5.00. This is assuming we use a standard location and font for all text on all lowers. Each and every time we change font (or location) we must completely re-do the setup. If any of you have CNC milling machine experience it is very similar to that. Everything must be set up exactly as you want it on a X-Y axis. If all we have to do is change the actual text that is not really all that big of a deal. When you change font or location everything must be redone, this of course takes time, time is money and so forth. Normally when we sell a receiver laser engraving in one location is included for no charge. Engraving a second location is $15. For your group we have cut that to $5 for second location engraving (Assuming same font and location for all). If we start going with custom fonts and moving the location around we would have to cover the time cost factor and go back to $15. Shipping is usually $9.50 per lower. We have cut that to $3.00 for shipping assuming all lowers are sent in large groups. We ship UPS business rates, insured, and adult signature is mandatory. Unlike so many companies today, we try not to make money on shipping, but we also can not afford to be loosing money on it either. When sending 10+ lowers $3.00 (each) usually (almost) covers shipping. If we start sending small batches here and there we will have to go back to $9.50 to better cover the actual cost of shipping. Beetle Bailey is doing an outstanding job of keeping things coordinated. If you guys have never taken on a project like this it is a real pain in the butt to try to keep everything straight. When people start wanting not only custom text but custom fonts and then custom shipping options, the logistics become a true nightmare. He is not making a penny on this deal, he is simply trying to help out his fellow shooters. We have given across the board discounts to help out as much as we can. While both Beetle Bailey and Anvil Arms truly want you to each have the exact product you want, exactly the way you want it, please try to understand the logistics behind what some of you are asking. I hope this information is of use and answers some of your questions. Edited to add the following: I just saw where somebody was asking about getting one of these receivers and making it a SBR. Anvil Arms is one of the only factories that not only "will" sell a SBR to the general public (with proper registration of course) we actually cater to it! The ATF/NFA is "VERY" clear on the fact that an AR15 type receiver can not be registered and transferred as a lower only. It MUST be sold and transferred as a complete assembled working firearm. There is no gray area there. That said, the purchaser does have options available. (More on that below) Since Anvil Arms is the actual manufacturer (not simply a dealer or after market company) when we make a SBR (using one of our receivers) we do not have to engrave any additional information onto the receiver. At the customers request, we "usually" laser engrave "Registered SBR" on it in the same general area where we will be putting the personalized text for your groups lowers. Yes, there is enough room there to put both the "Registered SBR" and a second line of personalized text if so desired, we have done it many times. As the purchaser of an Anvil Arms factory registered SBR you have the following options to maintain full legal status: #1 Buy a complete Anvil Arms SBR. We transfer it on a form 3 to the class III dealer of your choice, he transfers it to you. He will also likely charge you a fee for this transfer service. #2 You send in an AR15/M16 upper receiver complete with a barrel that is less than 16". We use this to assemble your rifle and transfer it as above. You can also send in all of the parts that go into the lower receiver and we will assemble if for you, (Remember, to legally transfer, it must be a "working firearm".) Of course there is a small fee for the labor to assemble it from your parts. #3 This option sounds confusing, but it really is not and it is in full compliance with ALL ATF regulations. You buy a regular Anvil Arms lower receiver just as you would anyway. Once you get it from your local FFL dealer, you write us a letter asking us to use that lower receiver and build you an SBR and register it to you. You send the lower and the letter (and an upper/LPK/stock if you so choose) to us. We build it as a working SBR and register it as an SBR with the ATF. We then transfer it directly to you. Once the ATF approves the transfer to you we are able to ship it directly back to you (across state lines if need be) without you having to go through a local FFL. This is actually considered along the same lines as a repair and is completely legal and above board. No "loopholes" or anything of the kind. Prior to May of 1986 this is how most people legally converted AR15's into M16's. Unfortunately, we can no longer do that, but the SBR option is still available at any time, (for now ). There are a few other very minor procedural details but that is pretty much the way it works. If any of you are interested in obtaining a SBR in one of the above ways, please contact me directly. Note: You will still purchase the lower with the rest of the group, but any NFA stuff we will handle directly with you. Again, I hope this helps! Jon Kruger President, Anvil Arms LLC Lakeland, FL.
