Carol at ST ActionPro says thanks for all the orders.
They are real nice folks besides selling dummy rounds they have a lot of 5.11 Clothes.

Carol's husband Marshall is a old shooting buddy of mine. BTW

She is sweet.

Hey, you ordered from there too?  I did that today, and wow, they are nice people.  I was on my cell when I called and Carol had to figure up a shipping cost so she offered to call me back so I wouldn't burn up my cell minutes.  'Course it kinda sucked cause I spent over $60 there in one fell swoop

I hope you'all had a good time at SDave's class. I know I did.
I really liked watching SDava pound round into the X ring on that 3 Bull drill certainly impressed me.

Mike

If you want him back in the spring let me know.

If anyone wants to swap notes on drills let me know.

It was a good class, and a good deal for the money if you compare it to some of the South River classes. My "things to work on" list just got significantly longer, but I came out much further ahead than I started.

If you aren't challenged, you aren't progressing. I'm more of a range shooter and I was certainly challenged.

Thanks Mike for letting us know about the course. Please tell SDave he needs to work on his joke delivery and avoid the slow pitch setups, just don't tell him I said that.

Well, I guess I'll toss in my $0.02 on this class.

I thought this was an awesome class (although the only other class remotely related to guns I've ever attended was the GA hunter's safety course...).  The material covered was stuff distilled from years of experience and training in doing business with a handgun, not just from competition.   IMHO, it is definitely not a beginners class, as I was getting my butt kicked on some of the drills.  The class is extremely intense.  Both of my hands were hurting by the end of the first day and they were cramping by the end of the second day.

Some of the guys in the class were scary accurate in their shooting.  It was like shooting next to the friggin Terminator; they were machines!  SDave's teaching style was a lot like a drill instructor, which is good, since I needed some of the lessons pounded into my head

Fobus holsters suck ass.  Mine was so tight I couldn't draw my gun without pulling my belt way up.  The Wilderness belt and the knee pads are great.  Stock Beretta 92FSs have a horrible DA trigger pull; its like pulling on an anchor.  One does get spoiled by a 1911's trigger pull.

JoeWang, you mind IM me with your notes?  I didn't take quite as many notes as I should have and the ones I did take are pitiful.

Great class Mike/SDH.  I'm tired today but it was worth every Advil I've taken to recover my old body.  My third class with SDH and I can't imagine a better experience.  I learned a lot for sure, but what I really like best about Dave's classes is that I smile all day long.  I had a BLAST.  How often do you get an opportunity to shoot next a G-man (woman) on one side and Cobb PD (and Markie Mark) on the other side?

Thanks for a great weekend!

OK 2lC; who were you? I thought the only LEO was from Roswell?

I was the only Anglo big guy!

Hey JarheadChiro--Go Team Viagra!! WTF dood, too tired after the pre-game festivities??

I agree with Book; I've had Mike make two holsters for me now, one Sig P220ST and one G34 that are both 100%. Adjustable too. Not that I'm an operator but they haven't bothered me with a normal 1-1/2 inch leather working mans belt.

Great class SDave.  Thanks for getting it together Mike!

I went through 1200 rounds.  My thumb started giving out, but you know what?  I was learning so much and having a great time doing it that I would have pumped the other 1300 rounds I brought with me if SDave had said "drive on".  But he's taught so many shooters that he knows when people have reached saturation and are losing focus.

If any of you  from the class need a new holster let me know and I'll throw in a free Talon Tactical T-shirt.

That class certainly took its toll on me but I rested up by taking yesterday off.
