Great News!! I'm up for pizza and paperwork! |
Pat, any chance of setting something up for the eve of the 23rd so I don't have to make an extra trip up there? What am I gonna need? Yes, newbie, cut me some slack guys |
I was going to make a comment about this, but that's just WAY too easy. But, I'm up for pizza and paperwork as well. |
Hell Yes!!!! I'm up for it. Pat what day would work good for you? I know that several guys are going to be at Practical Rifle this Saturday. Would it work out for everybody to meet after the match for pizza? Just a suggestion.

Woot, woot,
Count me in for Pizza and paperwork, sounds like a hoot. I am in for after the practical, tactical rifle match!!! |
Not me......... |
I won't be able to get there either -- so just mail me the forms -- or e-mail the info I need (serial number, calibre markings, length etc. etc.) I think I have the forms in the safe, as well as the ATF fingerprint cards.
Can't make it most likely. I'll call and arange a time. Thx for the offer of pizza and all the beer I could drink, btw.
It doesn't have to be at this time. It was only a suggestion. Anybody else have a day/time they want to suggest? Pat needs to let us know when he's up for it.

Damn, I guess you guys are still reading this THREAD! We have to RECEIVE the CANS first, (Hopefully Tomorrow or Friday) This Sunday is out, at least in the A.M., I will be in Albany at the MG Match. Other than that, I'm Free, (well not Free, but easy????) Offer doesn't need to be just one day, if we need to do it a couple day's that's fine. (But NO SECONDS on pizza if you already have your forms signed the 1st day!) Other option is you can come out to my SHOP, Still not sure what's happening on the 23rd, but we may be able to work something out then too. Pat Oregon Research Labs, LLC |
Ha, yea, if you want me to SIGN your forms. I can also take your PICTURE if you like, if you don't have them yet. I still need to CALL and see if I can take your finger prints, I think I can. Pat |
What MG match? I thought that was in December? At least the 2 day biggie. |

I am SURE there will be another one! Also might want to "Stay-Tuned" just in case one of the 18 folks end-up NOT passing their BACKGROUND check. (It Happens) Or their WIVES find out they are SENDING $200 to BATFE just for TAXES! Pat |
NO WORD on the cans yet,
hope he DID send them before taking off the the CREEK! We NEED to talk about TROS Adapters, and Dis-Assembly tools. We need to order 5 adapters to get the better price, and I need 2, so at least 3 more. (So I can use my 1/2" x 28 can on the METRIC Micro Galil and HK53's.) Also was contacted my another person about Dis-assemble tools. Need to get a LIST together for those. I think it was $20 if we order, $25 if less than 20. Maybe we can just talk about it at the PIZZA Forms Signing Party? Pat |
Pat,
Yeah, let us know what the best date would be for you to sign forms and stuff. Oh yeah, and eat pizza...LOL |
I just wanted to let you guys know that Steve at battlecloth is having a 10% off sale on his suppressor pouches through Tuesday. He gave me pricing for the Tac-16 which was just below $30. No price breaks for quantity, I tried. He normally want's each individual to send their cans dimensions. But since we don't have them yet, I was hoping that Pat might measure the dimensions off of his demo can.

SSSSSSSWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTT! One of them has my name all over it...... Now for the paperwork! |
OK! Great pictures!
Re: the paperwork. I am new at this. I can arrange to come up and sign the paperwork or can get the prints and photos here and ?submit from here. I could use some advice. And, I have something to offer. I have talked with Tom, the MGI buffer guy, and he sees a group buy around Christmas for the MGI buffers and thinks (don't hold him to this) about $115-120 each. Don't ask me for info, I don't have any more, but will inform the group ASA I know any more. Keep an eye on EE board around Christmas. I have also suggested to him that he post on this group for us to have a direct line. You don't need an MGI buffer for a can but probably will need an H buffer at least, as far as I can tell. Shoot it first and see how it functions, but the can will lead to higher pressures which can lead to Extract/Eject issues so think ahead. I like that the MGI buffer leads to faster time back on target and think it is useful for that reason alone, although no one has to have it for the suppressor to work well. I just offer this info for your interest. I am budgeting for one. A link: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=241393 When I was in school this group process stuff stunk. Now I find that with a play group I like it's a lot more fun! Regards, Rick PS Pat, I'm in for a disassembly tool. |
Rick,
I run a MGI RRB buffer and 2x music wire spring in my 20" varmiter. You are correct. I do like it. In fact I have one more slated for the SEBR and was thinking about an additional one for a future SBR. They're good stuff. |
That's nice. Now take that spoon out of your ass. Pat, Nice to see that everything got in quick. You have many drooling fans here. Unfortunately, now the long wait begins. Let us know a date and time for a form signing pizza party and we'll get to business. Also, about the end-cap tool. You mentioned at one time you had possibly a beter alternative? What happened with that? |
Check out PCArms a guy named Pat in Vernonia. He is very nice, not sure what he charges for transfers of Class 3 stuff but he has his Class 2 manufacturer's license. He can make you what you need.
hehehehe, THAT would be ME! (Hi Mark, how's the NEW AR doing????) Pat Oregon Research Labs, LLC; formally known as PCArms |
I need to talk to WS4LIF, but this has gone WAY to fast, I'm thinking we should wait 6-8 weeks before turning in the forms????? (Just kidding) This Saturday would work, 11:00 a.m. at 185th Pizza Caboose? It's just NORTH of Hwy 26 off the 185th exit. Hooters would probably let me use their conference room, (I spend enough money there) or maybe Jodies in Gresham, but MOST of you would probably just ignore the HOT woman after playing with new NFA TOY'S. After PIZZA, any, or all are welcome to come out to my shop (about 20 miles WEST) and PLAY. May have a NEW HK UMP45 by then. Pat Oregon Research Labs, LLC |
Hmmmm....... I actually could make this Saturday! OK, think it's been asked before, but for a newbie, what exactly do I need to bring up with me? |

Re: the MGI buffers.
I was a bit wary of paying that much for a BUFFER But when the last group buy on them came up, I went ahead and bought one. It REALLY does work, and makes a big difference. One word of warning though -- it reduces the recoil on my 16" M4Gery to the point here there is not enough to bump it Definately worth the money IMHO. |
+1 for pizza caboose.
Holy crap pat, I just about messed myself with excitement. Woot, woot. |
Pat, that sounds great. Although Jodie's does sound good too. They tend to have the more "athletic" women there spinning around on the high-bar. Good drinks too.
Anyway, Pizza Caboose at 11am it is. (i.e. a REAL pizza joint that hasn't changed the decor since 1980). |
Another vote for Jodies.....(lives in Hood River ) But should be able ot make Pizza Caboose. Besides, I miss the 80's! CH |
Cape loves the Caboose....
I found your P90 mag too bitch.... |
In that case I will leave your girlfriend out of this! Sooo how was the party? CH |
I did too. They were on NoAims plate before the PR match! ALong with some salmon, the other pink meat! CH |
Maybe you guys should go use IM for your little love fest there.
Just as a BUFFER NOTE; The TAC16 works GREAT with both my Colt SP1 AR15 with FIXED STOCK and my postie Colt M16A2 with collapsible stock. Sorry, I am NOT An AR/M16 groupie, and have NO idea what buffer either has. I did notice I get GAS back in my face on the M16, and DON'T with the SP1???? I heard you can do an "RTV" trick to fix that, but BOTH run my BETA just fine. Pat |
Maybe round TWO, we will make it at Club Caboose or the Acropolis? Na, I still like Jodies. I got to take my 21 year old son in there for his BIRTHDAY this spring. I told the girls NOT to be gentle! Am I a BAD Father???? Pat |
No, a wonderful father. See you Saturday then. |
