WINSLOW, N.J. (CBS) -- Three Gloucester County sheriff officers were injured at the South Jersey Shooting Club in Winslow Township by possible ricochets, Winslow police said Friday afternoon.

Gloucester County Emergency Medical Services responded to the shooting club on a report of three sheriff's department officers struck by possible ricochet gunfire, police told CBS News Philadelphia.

CBS News Philadelphia crews were at the sports club and captured an ambulance leaving the scene earlier Friday afternoon.

The sports club has indoor and outdoor shooting ranges.

It's unclear at this time how the officers were injured or what led up to the shooting.

Bullet hit 3 sheriff's officers in misfire at N.J. shooting range, records show

A ricocheting bullet injured three Gloucester County sheriff's officers during training at a shooting range last month, according to records obtained about the incident.

"It appears that there was an inadvertent discharge of a weapon while they were in the course of firearms training," Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Chief of Detectives Tom Gilbert said soon after the incident. "Three people suffered minor injuries."

Dispatch audio provided via the records request shows a rapid response to the incident.

"Two are graze wounds. No tourniquets are applied. Third is a little bit more than a graze wound," an emergency responder says about the officers' injuries in one recording. "Bleeding is controlled at this point. I have EMS arriving now."

Officials have not said if the injured officers returned to duty or if the person who fired the gun has faced discipline.
