So @Ben when the APC lowers started to become available there was a thread where you discussed some APC service rifle buld specs. That thread is no more and I can’t find anything here in the forum about it.

Have the specs been discussed any further or been finalized?  If so can you post that info?

Would this thing fit the bill?  It does have a 2-stage trigger, though (Geissele SSA-E).

That's totally fine. Rule 1 is have a rifle.

@Ben speaking of rifles, any thoughts on non-barrel-mounted bayonet systems (other than they suck, thanks, I know that)? I looked at a couple to go onto the 16" PSA uppers w the freefloat hand guards, and found these:

And of course Geissele makes one that's not for poors.

I have one of the Sig ones.  What do you want to know?

How far forward of the last mlok mounting point the bayonet ring is?

Asked another way, how close to the end of the barrel does the free-float handguard need to be?

Here's a pic of a bayonet mounted on the end of an MCX handguard with the Sig mount. Hope it helps.

Really, the best option is the Centurion/FCD handguard.

If I were building from scratch:
-I'd use a TA33 due to longer eye relief
-Centurion MLok handguard
-K2+ (better for cold weather if no gloves)
-Magpul MS4 sling (does better as a loop sling over the Vickers)
-It's a Geissele SSA-E, because I'm a rebel.

Just what I needed to know about the Bayo mount, thank you!

My beater rifles have Sig Romeo5 optics, and if I need magnification I have a Larue PoBoy to go behind that. The uppers are PSA though, either the FN barrel, conventional FSB (which obviously takes a bayonet without issue) and a PSA lightweight MLOK one.

I cut up an ALG this evening for mine.

16” midlength criterion CHF CL midlength barrel with YHM clamp on front sight gas block with bayo lug. Other than that it has standard spec guts with ALG ACT trigger.
