Im moving to the Mountain Home area soon. Next 6-9 months soon.

Do any members/veterans here have any experience good bad or otherwise with the VA clinic in Mountain Home?

TIA

I have none.
My son works for the VA (currently in Alaska, but used to be in NW Arkansas).
I can ask him about it, but won't hear back until tomorrow.
I go to the VA Conway and Little Rock.

So apparently the current facility is small.
A new, larger one is to be built, but I don't know about the current staffing.

There is a VA hospital in Fayetteville.  122 miles 2.5 hours

I’m not a vet, so no personal knowledge.  I’ve known a few vets that have used it.  Never heard them complaining about it.

As always hopefully someone knows more.

My son responded in detail regarding Mountain Home... they are moving into the new CBOC there, so in the near future it should be a great option, if Conway CBOC is any gauge.
Harrison has had a small clinic, but I don't know it's future.
One thing about the satellite units, if it's decently close to you, VA will transport you to an appropriate VA facility from there.
I see some really pitiful folks in wheelchairs with tags pinned on them indicating their point of origin/return.
Jonesboro and Fayetteville are both well equipped, as is Springield, Missouri (a satellite of Fayetteville)

You're very welcome!
My son has worked at LR and NLR VA, Fayetteville and Springfield VA. He still has contact with people in those facilities.
He is one of the "good" ones - always trying to get people to stay focused on serving the veterans.
I'm kinda proud of him.
