First off, I know traffic will be super crazy, as it will be everywhere in the path of totality.
As the topic indicates, heading to the Evansville area to view & hopefully photograph the Total eclipse on Monday. Where would a local recommend I try to head to? Looking for something kind of scenic area to make the photos more interesting.

It will be the wife, 2 older teenage boys & myself. We are staying in Bowling Green KY and making the morning drive over into Evansville area for the day.

Any help or recommendations and/or cautions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you are coming that far you might want to shoot up further north due to the forecasted cloud cover.  There are lots of 2 lane country roads in the area with no clouds.  You might just want to setup on one of them if the plan is to get pictures.

I'm thinking about heading to the town of Lebanon, IN but being one of the few towns with actual events planned and no forecasted cloud cover that area is going to be slammed with traffic as in bumper to bumper and mostly stopped on the interstate once it is over and people try to leave.
