Have a 2012 F-150 4x4 offroad package with max trailering and... blew the fucking motor at ~160k miles, decently clean body (one dent on the tail gate) and everything else works on it.   Local mechanic has quoted 8-10k for a new/refurb motor install (depending on ecu etc), which honestly isn't a shock given the motors are 6k+

Looking for ideas suggestions for it.

Have tossed around getting a used motor, but they're still about 4k with 150k on them, so... eh.  Got the wife a 2019 suburban to replace her 2015 town and country kid hauler, so I'm driving it currently.

Used truck prices are still bewildering to me, I just can't justify a 100k mile truck for $25+

Any idea what I could get at an auction, private sale, etc in it's current state?
