He asked a question about visiting Fremont St on an upcoming trip and nobody answered his question. I'm assuming this is his way of throwing a tantrum.
Not everyone here lives in LV OP..... |

Booked at the El Cortez??
The smell of the 70s casino still lives on. Hookers outside and can still get some dope on the corner. |

I think you'll find the El Cortez ('bout the oldest old school building /casino like that in town) and surrounding area interesting. I mean that in a good way.
Cool little places to eat and drink all around. Also an assortment of hustlers, weirdos, bums, and hookers. Freemont and the strip are not my thing at all, but I admit I'll check it out once in a while. Go for a little walk and see what you find. Bring your heater |

I’m sure it hasn’t gotten any easier since then. Best I can do on this trip is a pointy thing. I’ll check out it though. Haven’t been to the old part of town since the early 80’s and I was only a teen at the time. |

You'll be fine. I just wouldn't be in any alley at night.

People used to pay good money at the circus to go in and see the freak show. Now it's free every night on Freemont Street. For that alone I enjoy going on the very rare occasion that family or friends are in town and want to go. If you do go out my advice would be to stay on Freemont Street. If you have to/want to see any other part of town do NOT walk. Take a cab or drive yourself if you have a rental car. The area between Freemont Street and The Strip is most definitely not where you want to be under any circumstances.

Fremont is the guilty pleasure for my wife and I. Such good people watching. We’ll go every few months and just start at one end, slowly walk to the other and hit the container park. Then walk back to the car and go home. Good way to get out for a couple hours on a Friday or Saturday night. I will echo not to wonder beyond Fremont, it gets really bad. I also conceal carry when I’m there. It’s funny, my wife will look at me as we get out of the car and say “you got it with you right”. |

Show up 30 minutes early so TSA can screen it if they want. Use your own locks. Pick up the case at the airline office, not on the carousel. |
