Guys,,We wanted to cruise up to New England this fall to see the wonderful colors. Is the recent rain going to be a factor for us to consider? TIA.

No idea but the rain/dry cycle affects the colors. Here's a aerial picture of Montpelier today . Attachment Attached File

I would think by the fall we will have beautiful foliage no matter what, the one thing that could happen is if we get heavy winds during foliage which usually comes with rain that can hammer the leaves off the trees prematurely.

Something was weird with the foliage after Irene.   It wasn't as colorful if I remember correctly - like maybe lots of mud \ dirt got turned up as a result of the runoff.

Honestly very hard to time it, and it lasts like two weeks. regardless of half the state washing into roommates with champy.  VT in general is very wet( usually).  usually Stowe etc are targets for travel, and its all uphill high elevation areas. not shit close to river/sea level. its always rolling the dice on timing and been that way since I've been here. ( 40+)
