if flying in from mainland you need to do the Hawaii safe travels stuff done
Not difficult, but be sure to upload a copy of your Vid card to their site
KNOW YOUR LOGIN AND PWD FOR THIS AS YOU WILL NEED IT!!!

the day before you fly in--you answer the questions, and you will get a QR code

important:  when you fly in, you get to wait in line to go thru their safe travels crap at the jetway--this can take a while

super important:  GET ALL THAT SAFE TRAVELS STUFF brought up ON YOUR SMART PHONE !!! AND KNOW THE LOGIN FOR IT   YOU MUST HAVE IT!!

Hotels want this proof as well  (see being able to login above) before you can check in!!  you MUST show them this on your phone, on the HI safe travel site under My trips-- which will show you have been approved/screened by HI.  The hotel we were at required ALL people in your party to show them the proof

car rental-- lines sucked-- but they did not check to see if we were "approved" or not.  FYI, if you use Dollar reta a car, sigh up for their "club" whatever its called --you get express service--can walk right up to front of line (tell bus driver from airport this--he will hep you out)

restaurants/bars  WILL check for Vid card/ID (at least)  some even took temps.  (apparently 5k fine if they dont check)
--we just took a phone pic with covvid card and ID in same photo-- and used that.  no bars/food places needed the actual card(s)

some lines for food---if the tard governor opens up more, it will get better for that i think

odd on how some things are "ok" to do and some are not....just liberal government at its finest.  like cant walk to a seat in a bar without mask on but you can jump on a recently shared biki bike and touch the same handlebar as 50 other folks that day...

it was sad to see sooooo many places had closed down permanently.  :(

got to hear the good folks of HI blasting away at the range near koko head.
I nearly died climbing that mtn...lol
