Leaving north Texas 8:30 tuesday morning. Gonna spend some time in Anchorage for a day or two, gonna drive to Fairbanks. Hitting Fairbanks, Badger, and North Pole. I think we are in AK for a total 6 days.

Maybe I will meet of you. Got another couple coming with us. Hes got some people at a fire station he wants to see. I have zero plans, told my wife to figure everything out, no idea what we are doing other than praying we see some Aurora Borealis. Or however its spelled.

Oh and also planning to get out of 109 degree heat for a few days.

Safe travels! If you have time and would like to do some shooting stop by the Matanuska Valley Sportsmen range outside of Palmer! Coffee is always on, if I am there and lots of like minded thinkers!

If only we had more time. The couple joining us on this adventure, well the guy is my friend from high school. Manual labor is a vacation for him. And he is really smart when comes shade tree engineering.

But our time is short. Maybe another visit will get something worked out.

I enjoy checking your thread.

It’s alright. Not worth the hype though.

The “east coast cup and char” from hungry robot is the best pizza in fairbanks when you are up this way.

If you like beer I rank the fairbanks breweries in this order:

Lat65
Black spruce
Hoodoo

Get lunch at 49th state brewing in Healy on your drive up.

I’m leaving Friday after work to go to my cabin. But if you’re around next week and want to get a beer let me know.

Struck out on aurora. Went to Murphy Dome. Too many clouds all night, and rain. Not enough aurora.

saw nothing the whole time. Back in Anchorage.

I take it by MatSu fire you mean Central? I probably know him. We have like 9 different fire dept'sin the MatSu. I work EMS for the borough we cohabitate some buildings but are otherwise separate entities. I just finished a year in Central and am now in Palmer.
