Who is the older gentleman ( think from frenchtown) that attends the gun shows and knows everything about High Standard firearms.
Last time I was home, I purchased a sport-king and it needs a couple of pieces to function properly. |

I know exactly who you are talking about. I have not seen him at any of the past 3 Great Falls shows,there is still someone I assume is associated with him running a table there. They were at the out west gun show this weekend. I asked him if he could replace the missing safety lever on my High Standard H-D military and he kinda blew me off like it wasn't worth his time. I also believe he was from Fairfield not Frenchtown.

Jim Gray was the High Standard "guy". He passed away a couple of years ago. Bob Snider is now "the guy".

I was finally able to track down the parts for my HD Military safety and took it in for Bob to fit/install. He is a supper nice guy and didn't charge me a thing,he informed me that they now own High Standard firearms and are producing new guns. I was there on Sat. met up with Bob and gave him 1 high standard to fix the receiver because the barrel wouldn't slide on and off smoothly and build a mag that would fit
and another high standard to build a mag that would fit. Will see him next week in Helena at the gun show and get them back. |
