Love it, hate it or indifferent it's here. Today was the grand opening of the first In-n-Out in Idaho and it's in the WORST POSSIBLE INTERSECTION in all of Idaho.

Reports are saying people camped out overnight and the drive-though was 8 hours long!

https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/local/local-in-n-out-sit-n-wait/277-a6915cf3-c0f2-467d-a115-445213bc1335

Also I've heard reports of pro-Hamas protestors crashing the event. I don't know if they blocked traffic or not, haven't seen any stories on it just reports from my wife's friends

Found the story, it's being reported by the Idaho Republican Party in their social media accounts. Here are some pictures

I drove by around 1130 and there was a small gaggle of protestors standing on the grass with flags and signs, but by the time I came back around noon it looked like they were gone.

Hopefully they realized how impotent they are here and left but chances are they just couldn’t deal with the cold lol

Israel vs Hamas is a trick question.  They both suck.

Is should be considered treason to give away any of our wealth to any foreign nation.

I was there today. 45 minutes from when I walked into the line to when I walked out with my food. Got a 4x4 animal style.

Unfortunately, this event is a not a good sign for Idaho.

Fat people waiting absurd times for disgusting unhealthy food shows a lack of priorities, lack of wisdom, and self indulgence.

I would have more hope for our future in Idaho if people were waiting in line to run a 10K.  That is the exact opposite.  It would show discipline, sacrifice, and the willingness to endure hard things.

The only way Idaho stays free is by being morally superior to the forces that want to destroy us.  Eating 2500 calories at one sitting is disgusting and leads to morbid obesity.  Morbid obesity is a symptom of a lazy, weak mind.  Weak minds vote for socialists to give them free stuff.

Just go to Five Guys up the street for just as good if not better burger.

In-N-Out is just another example of the “Oh Shit It’s Something New Here And I Have To Cram Into It With Every One Else!” syndrome.  Every time something opens here in the Valley, people stampede the new venue just like how people scrambled for land claims in the 19th century.  I don’t know what it is other than a banal existance punctuated by novelty or impatience but it’s somehow against people’s prime directives to just wait a few weeks and then go after the latest and greatest opens up. It’s particularly annoying because compared to other places I’ve lived in this country, people here do shit all at the same time, thus making anything at certain times and certain parts of town hard to do.

It’s not like In-n-Out is going anywhere, they could be the shittiest place known to man and sell “Animal Style” dogshit on a bun and their business will still be propped up by legions of Califugee who by the way “aren’t those kind of Californians.”

Just wait when Scheels opens up.  That place will be an absolute zoo drawing out every “sportsman” faux-hawk brah for miles. I will avoid it for months.

Personally can't stand 5 Guys and I don't want to take out a loan to buy lunch.

In-n-Out doesn't really "slow down" the drive though is going to be packed for all of eternity and yeah, you're right. I'm from California and I like In-n-Out. There's nothing I can say or do online to prove I'm "Idaho worthy" so I won't address that. I feel you thou, I get so frustrated when someone moves here and then starts doing shit like complaining to the HOA, refers to California as "home" or complains about something here like the Chinese food. I call them out every time I hear it.

I'm actually headed there today for lunch. Plan is to arrive at 11 and hopefully I'll get my food and eat in store before 12. We'll see how it goes.

Give it a rest man. Back in ‘02 when Krispy Kreme opened on the corner of Fairview and Eagle, people stood in a long ass line to get a free box of donuts. The same happened when Chik Fil A came to town. It’s got nothing to do with a specific area. Just how Americans are lol.

Ya when I got there, there were far less people in line then what I see in your pic. I was at the end of the line where it runs between the curb and the first roped barrier. From there to the door was only 15 minutes. The food took twice as long to get to me after the fact. I was there last night as well at 11pm(line was approx twice as long as it was the first time I went). Took 1 hour to get to the door, 30 minutes to get the food.

It took 1 hour and 40 minutes from when I arrived to when I started eating so pretty similar, I was just outside for longer.

They said people are making huge orders for their entire office and I saw a couple of guys carry out big boxes full of burgers. They said that one larger order can really jack up the wait.

I was talking to a few of the workers and one of them said that only 3 people he's spoken to are from Idaho, everyone else is from California. Every single person working said they couldn't believe how friendly people here are and one of the workers said it makes him want to move here. I was feeling pretty good about all the strong conservative transplants from Idaho when I walked out to the parking lot and the 2 ladies that were leaving at the same time got into an SUV with 1A plates and a huge "REFUGEES WELCOME" sticker on it.  Oh well maybe they were native

No way, im-fuckin-possible!

You don’t like In and Out? No problem!

You like 5 guys? Perfect, no problem!

Why get all fucked up over a new burger chain in town?

You have a choice…

Ya that’s what I was seeing, people walking out with huge orders. As far as the employees - it’s actually like this(spoke to one of the managers): they brought in help from Texas and California for the next 6 weeks or so. Once things settle down, they’ll leave. In n Out hired 80 employees from Meridian and the surrounding area.

Because before that you had to buy boxes of Krispy Kreme from the people who set up on the corner after driving them up. I think they came from Salt Lake and they would set up on Saturdays.

Oh yes, I just assumed everyone already knew that in-n-out has an expert team of around 200 employees they fly out to open new stores. They’ll be there about a month and train the locals to the standard. One of the guys I was chatting with is from California and he loved Idaho and said he wants to move here after meeting everyone.

They did mention that this is the busiest location they have seen but I’ve heard the Colorado launch was insane so maybe that was before their time.

Then, America is doomed.  Idaho along with them.  Krispy Kreme is not food.  It is crap.  Poisoning society is part of the demoralization process Yuri Bezmenov warned us of prior to the destruction of a country.

They poison your body with vaccines
They poison your body with fast food (Just watch Supersize me)
They poison your air with chemtrails
They poison your food with GMOs
They poison your mind with Hollywood filth
They poison your spirit with constant fear
They poison your water with fluoride (fortunately ID does not do this)
They poison your soul with LGBTevil propaganda
They poison body with prescription drugs
They poison soul with injustice at the highest levels (Why is Hunter not in jail?)
They poison your mind with propaganda 24/7 (CNN, MSN, Fox news)
They poison your population with illegal immigrants
They poison your money by printing it out of thin air by the trillions and then giving it away free to other countries (Ukraine)

I could literally go on and on.  Some of these things you have no control over.  But, you do have control of many.  Don't help them by weakening yourself through garbage that isn't food.

Weak people lose the will to fight evil.  They tend to vote for bigger government to take care of them.  I was hoping Idaho would be smarter than this.  I saw CA fall.  Don't think Idaho can't fall too.

Demoralize first.  Destroy second.

Part of the reason why that one was insane was cause it happened during COVID.

That’s quite a stretch there. Having Krispy Kreme or In N Out once in a while isn’t gonna poison me. It’s called moderation. Same with alcohol, sugar, entertainment, etc.

I’m very well aware of all of the above, including Bezmenov’s famous interview after he defected to the US. At the end of the day, most of those things are out of your control. No amount of posting on this forum is not gonna change it. I’m 99% sure that everyone else here is quite away of it all too. That’s why for me, my belief is in Jesus Christ. I don’t fear or worry about the above like some others do.

I work in that area of the valley.  I'll be glad when the hype is over and traffic isn't as bad trying to get around Eagle or Fairview.

I like In-n-Out but it isn't worth the hassle or headache right now. I'll wait 3 months and go during an off hour.

When is snowmaggedon coming to drive these people back to the tropics?

It might be fair to say I am suffering from CA induced PTSD.  I watched the State I was born and raised in go from a decent place to live to a Godless Communist Decadent Woke shithole that I had to flee.

You are right.  In and Out isn't going to hurt you in moderation.  I just didn't like the lack of moderation in people waiting in line for 8 hours.  I apologize if I over reacted or offended you.

No offense taken whatsoever. Just lots of doom and gloom going on around these last few years(rightfully so), but ya, 8 hours… NOPE. I did 45 minutes the first time and 1.5 hours the second time. That was my limit. Left satisfied. Almost nothing is worth standing in line for that long, especially food.

Went back again today on a day date with the wife while the kiddos were in school.

Got there at 11:10 and we had our food around 12:10. People were saying today, Friday the 22nd, was much busier than lunch yesterday. There were a ton of kids in line both High School as well as primary and middle but still it only took about an hour.

I guess thats progress.  The first time I went to an In-n-Out in 2002, I waited for ten minutes just to make my order and it took 20 minutes to get my food and I thought that was insane. I would have left but was stuck waiting because my coworkers were from California and they insisted it was worth the wait.  It was just a burger.

Overrated by a mile. $11 to get a double cheeseburger that isn’t even seasoned. Hard pass now that In N Out is here.

Give Smash Burger a try.  It's better than 5 Guys and the line is much shorter than In and Out.

Not a fan

Tonight I went back to In-n-Out for the third time since they opened. Took the wife and kids for Christmas Eve dinner and the line was short. Less than 30 min and when we left there wasn’t a line

In n Out tastes very similar to Habit. But Habit has been jacking up their prices(like everyone else). Culver’s has been my go to for their delicious Butter burgers. But from here on out In N Out is the treasure valley GOAT lol.

4 in the valley proposed.  Looks like they found a stable market.

Wonder what the hold up is for the Boise location on the old Pier 1 property?
